"This is a lovely little set of cabins as well as a small shop nestled in Burr Oak State Park in Glouster (OH). From the Float shack you can purchase snacks, root beer floats, fishing gear, and other supplies you may need whilst spending some time in the woods and by the lake. You can also rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and pontoons from Burr Oak Getaways and the Float Shack. Both the cabins and the Float Shack are a 2 min walk away from the pristine Burr Oak Lake. One of my favorite lakes in Ohio because it is so naturally clean and beautiful. A definite must see if ever in this area."

"The Float Shack is a great place to stop by on your way to dock 2 to grab some fishing bait, snacks and drinks, fishing gear or even some Burr Oak souvenirs! The owners Mark and Emma are a great couple, very friendly and welcoming. You can rent pontoons and kayaks to explore Burr Oak lake. While you’re there treat yourself to some ice cream or Emma’s famous root beer or orange cream floats! They are so good! (Lots of flavors to choose from ours just happen to be root beer and orange cream)"

"The couple that run this place are amazing. Friendly and personable they made the experience enjoyable for our party of 7. We had 3 kids 7 and under and he did a great job engaging them on the ride. If you're looking for a relaxing ride on the lake this is place to go! Book a head of time as you don't want to miss your chance at seeing the beautiful lake and getting a little bit of interesting history. They also have 3 cabins for rent as well.
