"Good food, fast service and attentive waitress. Dinner for two with the Restaurant Week 3-course dinner. Only items not pictured were the oyster stew and house salad. The flavor profile of the gravy on the Shrimp and grits could be enhanced with a bit more depth in its (spice) seasonings. I'd definitely visit again."
"Oysters a dozen for 20$ is super reasonable nowadays, I recommend this place, I usually come for the bar upstairs Fridays and sat night I would check out both"
"We stumbled upon Pearlz in Columbia,SC and the experience blew us away. Our waitress Randie was polite, very friendly, and knowledgeable about the wine selection and menu. The gumbo was incredible and the oysters were perfectly shucked and savory salty. Highly recommend."
"Went to Pearlz around 6:45 pm. The bar area was busy as we sat at a table in the bar area. The area had a lot of noise and it was difficult to carry on a conversation. We ordered the fried oysters and they were good but small. I got the fried shrimp, and my wife got fish and chips. My shrimp were a little underdone although the crust was done the shrimp were not pink but a bit white. The corn fritter was really blah. No taste just a light fried piece of dough. Not something I was impressed by. The cod was very bland even with a beer battered crust. The chips would be better if served warm rather than cool to cold. The noise never let up and it seemed as if we got the bill to get us to go, which was no problem since it was so loud. Might have been a case of too many people and trying to get the food out instead of quality food done well."
"I picked this place for my birthday dinner with my family. The food was delicious! We tried a few of their specialty cocktails and enjoyed them as well, but in the end went back to our usual whiskey drinks. The only negative I'd share and feel is worth addressing is the music. I enjoy music while dining but whatever was playing was too much and made it difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. It also seemed like the stereo upstairs might have been competing with the downstairs making it even worse. We'll definitely be back though!"
