"Ordered the Hangover Hash (egg over medium) and White Cheddar cheese grits and it was absolutely amazing. I edited because I forgot to mention the White Cheddar grits are a must!! The portion size was perfect and everything was fresh. I'm an Uber driver so I got it delivered after driving people around all night. Definitely recommend. (I didn't rate the atmosphere since I was at home.)"
"My recent breakfast experience at The Flying Biscuit Cafe, 936 Harden St, Columbia, SC 29205, left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant's location is quite convenient, and I was immediately drawn to the charming artwork adorning its interior. The staff welcomed us warmly, setting a positive tone for our visit. When ordering, we tried the Egg-Stravaganza and the Biscuit Eggs and Gravy with a pancake on the side. However, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. It was okay; nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. Given the word "Biscuit" in the restaurant name, I had higher hopes for their biscuit quality, but sadly, they fell short of the homemade taste I was anticipating. What surprised me even more was the predominance of chicken-based dishes, such as the "Signature chicken sage sausage patty" and "Chicken Sausage Gravy." For someone like me who grew up on traditional sausage patties and gravy, the chicken-centric flavors will take some getting used to. The Flying Biscuit Cafe offers a Vegan Menu, a detail I didn't explore thoroughly before ordering. While I'm open to trying new things, I can't say that the chicken sausage was my personal preference. Despite this, I'm willing to give the restaurant another chance in the future. However, on my next visit, I'll avoid the chicken sausage."
"Good food, good service. We enjoyed the French Toast, grits, chicken waffles, and our other food. It was a tad too loud inside. Main weak point was the nearly $5 "iced mocha latte" that tasted like hot coffee poured over ice with 2% milk added (no chocolate, not espresso). I'd go back for the food, but skip the beverage options."
"We were in the area after dropping our pup off for grooming. For a while now we have been wanting to try, however there has always been a line out the door and down the sidewalk. This was our lucky day. Yay! No line, however once we entered no table seating available except the bar. My husband and I have no problem with sitting at bars. You get the same service most times quicker. We were not expecting this beautiful, cozy spot. The Sunflower mural is gorgeous. The bartender/server was very friendly. Our Breakfast was excellent."
"Stopped here for a meal before a day trip around the city. They did not disappoint. Gave the fried green tomatoes a go. The combination of the cashew chutney and the bite of the goat cheese with the sweetness of tomatoes was a really unique combination, I loved it. They were fried with a thin line of crunch. Nicely done. Amazing hot honey chicken and waffles. That hot honey sauce will leave you speechless. The chicken tenders gave a nice crunch while bringing on the juice and flavor! Amazing combination. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked. Medium rare was perfectly done! The grits. are. so. creamy. The creamiest I have ever had. Ate them completely plain. Try the hot honey butter on the biscuit, it will blow your mind! My husbands eyes were closed the entire time he was eating. So good to enjoy food this much. Service was friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure!"
