"Southern BBQ at it's Best!!! Fall off the bone ribs!!! Brunswick stew was delicious, so much food for the money!!! From start to finish..... This place hits every spot!!!"
"we ordered som to go catering for my parents' anniversary party and it was fantastic and ready when we arrived to pick it up. they helped us decide how much of food to get, which turned out to be a great amount. the pulled pork and shredded chicken was great. I was really surprised by how good the chicken was. their sauces are also excellent. we were coming from out of town and had no idea where to order from and I'm glad we chose Henry's."
"The service was great and the location is convenient. I do wish that there were more than two sauce options. I would not get the mac and cheese or green beans again. They were okay, but not amazing. I would try different sides in the future. Also, I was charged for water, which I was not expecting. I would have brought my own drink had I known this before coming here."
"Staff was very nice and portion sizes are huge. The pulled pork by itself was cooked fine but, 0 flavor. They offer sauces to season to your liking. The mild sauce is great. Coleslaw was middle of the road average. Fries cooked perfectly. Macaroni was similar to KFC but a bit more hardy. Plenty of parking, insides seating is limited."
"Hearing we wanted to try South Carolina barbecue, my companion's cousin said we should go to Henry's on 240 Wade Hampton Road. We took his advice and went there with our two hosts and friends for lunch. Customers order and pay first before getting their food which is also common with this venue. With no table seats available, we took four counter stools that looked at the parking lot. It is a casual environment, but most BBQ places are low key. Two gentlemen stood up after a minute and asked if we wanted their table. We said yes and thanked them. Unfortunately, my phone was having a data overload after taking so many photos since leaving Connecticut's Bradley Airport until this particular afternoon. As a result, most of my pictures of the food and the room that seats maybe thirty once it emptied out are lost. But, I still have a few. {I'm updating this review to include three that are not perfect but informative) I can tell you what the four of us had to eat and give you my opinion on the food. We chose two-way plate combos which gives patrons a choice of meats (4 oz pork, ½ boneless skinless breast of chicken, or a 1/3 rack of ribs) and two sides, pickles plus a side of Texas toast. Our pulled pork was the best I've had in a long time. It's often reheated or left out too long, dry, flavorless and such an injustice to pork itself which when cooked properly, is none of these things. The ribs were decent. Sauced. Loved their sweet potato casserole side with chopped walnuts or pecans inside, as well as the macaroni and cheese which also gets a thumbs up in terms of flavor and creaminess. All of us agreed it was good barbecue, so this explains why it was so crowded when we walked in and why it is considered the place to eat BBQ here. I learned some time ago that if you were looking for the real deal, if there wasn't a chimney with smoke coming out of it, it was not true barbecue. Henry's had an active smoking chimney. Also, genuine BBQ houses will commonly run out of items on their menu, which means they've run out and more will be available tomorrow. No alcohol is served here. Ice tea and soda. There is plenty of outdoor seating - a large clean area on the lawn across the parking lot with picnic tables. Henry's pride themselves for cooking fine meats low and slow for as long as fifteen hours over hickory logs. Good work! Two locations and their food truck does event catering."
