"Dealing with this office is ridiculous. Trying to get Dr. Bruckner to fill a prescription THAT HE PRESCRIBED is an act of congress. I'm being made to check after the staff to make sure they've sent the prescription; after 3 days, 5 phone calls, and 3 yes ma'am we've sent it in, the pharmacy still hasn't received anything, but when I call tomorrow I'm sure there will be another excuse besides "the doctor never cosigned it". I absolutely hate that this is where my doctor referred me to, I have no idea why she would."
"Had a screening colonoscopy here. Everyone was very nice and professional. They really made an uncomfortable situation pleasant!"
"Really like the staff and the drs"
"During summer 2015, my boyfriend spent three months in Kenya. While there, he experienced liver pain and diarrhea, but being far from a doctor, did not receive any diagnosis or treatment. A year and a half later (November 26, 2016) he experienced severe chills, nausea, and liver pain. Upon a trip to the hospital (and after telling the doctors that he was in Kenya) he was tested for gallstones. The tests came back negative. After several visits with a referred Gastroenterologist, he was tested for gallstones again, all strains of hepatitis and tumor markers. All results came back negative. Thousands of dollars and tests later, we did our own research on malaria and we requested he be tested as the symptoms fit his perfectly. The lab did not take his travel history at the time he was tested and as such, the lab had to redraw his blood two weeks later, after recognizing their mistake. At that point, the pain had subsided and no symptoms were present. Unsurprisingly, the test came back negative, likely because the malaria, which is intermittent, was no longer circulating in his blood. Due to the cyclical nature of malaria, we still suspect that this is what he has. Despite being misguided and tested for numerous other diseases, we were not informed that insurance would not be covering the visits to the doctors office. During each visit he was just asked to pay a copay. Having Blue Cross insurance through a different state means that the doctors visits here in South Carolina are uncovered. With proper referral from his family physician from the other state, the visits could be covered. However, this requires a letter from the Gastroenterologist he saw at Mary Black. This doctor, however, has left the hospital and we've been notified that there is no way to get in touch with him. This leaves my boyfriend in debt, undiagnosed (still has liver pain from malaria), and unsure of where to go next."
"A young family man who I would recommend to family and friends. Kind, considerate and interested in the patient."
