"DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! Absolutely horrible. Reported FACTS incorrectly. They said I said things I never did. They essentially called me a liar because my husband’s answers were different than mine. Performed (not exaggerating) 26 different tests when I only wanted to be tested for anxiety, depression, PTSD, & ADHD. Did not take me seriously AT ALL. Dismissed all of my concerns. Test results were completely inaccurate. States I essentially have a brain injury even though I’ve NEVER had a TBI or even probable cause for a TBI. States all my answers were “over exaggerated.” This is seriously harmful for people with serious mental health issues. Reading the results made me cry because they made it seem as if I made everything up. I can honestly see someone with very serious mental health issues be pushed over the edge because of this. Not to mention it took 3 months to receive a diagnosis with no follow up appointments. They spoke to me ONCE. I’m in the military and I’m completely convinced they only used me for a hefty paycheck because my insurance would cover it."
"Turn around time on services is horrible. Communication with timing and anything unless they are trying to get a payment is subpar at best. I used them for myself and then my son both experiences were 1 star ratings at best."
"I did testing here for university accommodations and did not feel heard once. They ignored everything I said and proceeded with hours of tests that I told them would not address the issue. The only saving grace was the wonderful desk worker Nicki. She was a sweetheart but everything else was just disappointing and frustrating."
"My experience with TOA was absolutely amazing!! The overall customer service was great, every time i called or emailed i received an immediate response or call back. As a common curtesy they’ve contacted me via text and phone call to remind me of each appointment which I very much appreciate. I highly recommend Dr. Turner... he’s the only person I’ve had appointments with and Ive immediately became comfortable with him as soon as we met. Of course you start out with Questioners however i felt like it gave them an insight to who I am and it gave me a chance to think outside the box. Our sessions help me grow and become more comfortable expressing myself. The location is very convenient and close enough to drive from Fort Gordon. I personally think you can’t go wrong with this office, just make sure you go with an open mind and be patient."
"My daughter has been a patient with this group for as long as we have lived in Augusta (4 years). I keep bringing her back because I'm comfortable with the multiple diagnoses she received as a result of the thorough testing. She had received one of those diagnoses from another provider but I was never told why. Having the results of the testing explained to me helped me understand why my daughter received multiple diagnoses and I continue to rely on Dr. Turner to treat her as well as help me to encourage appropriate behaviors at home. Her favorite thing at Tranisitions is weekly Group Therapy. Her behavior at home really suffers when we are unable to attend, like during COVID19. Dr. Turner has recognized when my daughter needed additional counseling and referred us to a service that accepts her insurance. I appreciate the flexibility to do telephone visits and be able to bring her into the office during the pandemic when I think she needs to be seen in person."
