"I would never recommend Dr. Caroline J Felty to anyone that is trying for a VBAC or a natural labor. She will try to force a csection on you based on growth estimates that are only 50 percent accurate based on ACOG. Even with strong researched based information, she still tried to pull fear tactics on me.  She even tried to speak Shoulder dystocia over my baby which is rare. It only happens in about 1 in every 200 births. It can even happen during a csection. I have never felt so uncomfortable or unheard in my life. I was faced with this type of fear mongering and manipulation all because I want to birth my child naturally and NOT choose an elective c-section based on inaccurate ultrasounds and biased opinions. She even went on to say that there is NO research on VBACs. Which is a complete lie. It was definitely a bait and switch situation.  Please also note that I've have zero issues in my pregnancy. I and my baby are healthy and my last birth was over 10 years ago, and I was still faced with this horrible experience. For references on VBACs There are many sites one could research with evidence based research.  Unfortunately Dr. Felty has not researched any from our last conversation. It's so sad that so many women are taken advantage of when all we want is to have peace of mind, feel supported, and birth our babies naturally.  Especially women of color.  Dr.Felty displayed verbally that her skillset is only based on surgery ( even when it is unnecessary),and not on a more holistic approach.  Even when mom and baby are completely fine. Who argues a mother down when all she is advocating for is a natural vaginally delivery? Dr.Felty, that's who. And do not be fooled by the false "kind" bedside Manor. She is manipulative and is only out for herself. She literally told me that because I desired a vbac that when I go into labor to ask for the general staff, because they do "Crazy stuff like that", at the hospital because no doctor from her practice would take me. Which is a lie. After she saw that she couldn't manipulate me she ending the appointment. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE."
