"My friend and their family have been houseless for months now. They were looking for a place to finally call their own and we’re sure this was it. They’ve been working tiring hours, making as much as they can, saving, and doing everything in their power to make it happen. The head of the house doesn’t have quote unquote “good” credit by no fault of her own. And her children, 20 and 19, don’t have credit at this time. Probably because they haven’t had the chance to build their own scores due to their living situation. And this complex, instead of hearing them out and talking with them, denied them instead. They are some of the sweetest and most hardworking people I know. All they want is to have a place to call their own. Their credit issues are not their fault. And the complex owners would know that if they actually talked to their clients. Which I think should be routine. I hope you feel great about leaving another family without a home because of the scam known as a “credit score”. Have the day you deserve."
