"Summer Square is what it is, a low rent, step above section 8 housing facility. The property managers here are awesome until you move out then they make sure that you never see your security deposit with fraudulent misc charges. I lost my job of 12 years and could not pay my rent. Naturally I got evicted. Went to court and was granted extra days to move and clean. I professionally had the carpets cleaned so they did not charge me for those. However, I spent two days scrubbing that nasty slum hole. My neighbor helped me. We moved the appliances and cleaned behind the appliances, Cleaned the cabinets and even wiped down the walls with various cleaners. They were going to get my deposit anyway to cover the rent and then I would have owed them 300.00 and we would have been straight. I got a bill for over 900.00. Cleaning Charges!!! There were places that they said were dirty, I know we cleaned. I could not clean the black mold under the sink because it was already there. I could not fix the ceiling that fell in the mudroom, that was from previous water damage. As per our agreement with the judge I dropped the keys in the drop box because no one was there. I was supposed to be notified when we could do a move out inspection. Nothing!!! Just a bill for charges they did not want to pay to fix their property. These were charges that I did not cause. DO NOT RENT from these people. They will do the maintenance while you live there, they will do an excellent job. its when you move out that their version of cleaning is like hospital clean yet they do not move you into an apartment that is hospital clean. I moved into a dirty, looked like it had never been cleaned apartment. I left it spotless and clean even behind the appliances except for the washer dryer, I could not move those.. My cabinets were spotted with water damage due to a pipe leak before I moved in. I was charged for that too.. Just because the rent is low, and the management seems nice, DO NOT buy into the hype because when you move you will be charged made up charges so you lose your deposit.."
