"I would like to at least like this place, we attempted to resign our lease starting back in July of this year after southwood realty took over. We’ve made multiple calls. Multiple attempts to resign but... we still are being charged month to month and no one has yet to do anything for us. It took a call to corporate to finally get a call back and that still didn’t get anything fixed. My wife was trying on a regular basis to get them to renew our lease she doesn’t try anymore it seems like it really won’t matter. We’ve submitted multiple maintenance requests but for a community that cares they don’t seem too. For instance, We had mold growing on the walls of my daughters closet. After no response from maintenance I finally took care of it myself. And that’s just some of the issues. Run away far far away lol. Update: still haven’t been able to move since the rent increase however nothing gets better. Two cars now damaged and the street light in the parking lot is out. People around you aren’t even honest I’m sure you could tell exactly what management will tell you if you bring it up. 1430.00 a month for 2 bedrooms when I moved in at less? Yet with the increase in rent you can’t get any kind of added security like maybe cameras? I feel like not enough people voice how they actually feel this place is less than trash. Another Update: Late letter on my front door? Had to panic a little and check my bank account but behold they took my money out lol…. And I had that awesome receipt of my rent being paid. They must of been bored and it apparently was turn to be harassed. Thanks I guess I needed that?"

"These apartments keep going downhill. They're outdated and rundown but very expensive and the management keeps going up on rent. We renewed our lease last January and they went up $100.00 which is rediculous! The property isn't kept up and stays full of trash and debris throughout the grounds and breezeways. It doesn't do any good to notify the office about issues because they don't do anything. Residents are tired of dealing with these things and are moving. There are over 20 two bedroom units vacant and more people are moving this weekend. This isn't a good place to live and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! There's also mold and mildew issues inside certain closets that will ruin things and for me personally it's destroyed clothes and shoes before I figured out what was happeing. I've had to hang up bags of "damp rid" which fills up with water quickly and they won't do anything to fix this. Being a gated community is a joke!! Our gates are broken about 95% of the time. We've had theft going on so it's not exactly safe. I'll be moving when my lease is up if not sooner."

"Please do not sign a lease at this place. Everything looks good at a glance but closer look you’ll find mold, bugs, and the walls are super thin you can almost make out full conversations from neighbors. My wife and I struggled to get a full nights sleep with all the noise. I just don’t want anyone to make the same mistake we made. The plus side of This place is that the staff and Maintenance are very kind and helpful."

"See update below........ My son and I moved here in September 2017 and we absolutely love it! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Our apartment is super nice and spacious. TONS of amenities are available. Nothing but great things to say about Ardmore Ballentine. UPDATE 10/2021: UNFORTUNATELY, the new owners are apparently extremely greedy and only care about money. After 4 years of not causing trouble and paying on time EVERY single month, my rent is being raised almost 45 PERCENT. Who can afford a $400+/month increase???? Not me. Will be moving out as soon as my lease is up. The type of people who live here has declined as well. The smell of weed is STRONG through my walls/floors almost daily. Very disappointing because I love the area."

"It’s a pretty decent apartment, with good amenities that aren’t kept up well anymore. I would advise anyone moving in to get everything possible in writing - I’ve never had the kind of issues anywhere that I’ve had here. I lost count of how many things (repair related and move out related) that I was verbally told that management then went back on. Everything has been a ridiculous hassle, and I couldn’t rely on anything the office told me (even the amount I owed each month for rent+water was at times quoted incorrectly to me). I’m even being charged for utilities for after I moved out, despite having documentation of everything. I would recommend avoiding this place."
