"Great service!! I would have given this place a five-star for the exception of a disgruntled employee. Read on!! This company is very well maintained on the exterior with plenty of parking. They have a drop-off location that is accessible from the parking lot and clearly marked. The interior was very clean and easy to navigate. I was initially greeted and helped by Wendell. This gentleman was polite and courteous during the entire time I was there. I dropped off my mower to be fixed. I wasn't under a time crunch to get it back. It was an initial 2-3 weeks. In all honesty, that was a fair time frame because it's peak season. It took about half that time. Here's where my problem was that it kept me from giving a 5 star. Upon pulling into the businesses parking lot, I noticed the parking lot was black top coated in certain areas, but I was clearly able to drive in the center. There was NO sign to direct incoming traffic. Although there were no workers, it was clear that it was recently done, BUT VISUALLY DRY. I got to the end of the parking lot, and I was able to easily turn around NOT and made absolute sure I did NOT go on any of the black top (which was dry). All of a sudden, I look back towards the front of the parking lot and, later known as employee Chris, started shouting, shaking his head and frantically waving his hands around while helping another customer. He was yelling for me to stay off the blacktop. Where I turned around, there was NO blacktop even done in this area. It was the back of the business. He said he had seen me back up into a blacktop area. I at NO time ever put my vehicle in reverse but rather had plenty of room to turn around. I explained to him that I didn't drive on any blacktop, but he continued to argue with me. I had some choice words for him. This man was out of control and should not be interacting with the public. He needs to take some customer relations pointers from Wendell. Wendell's professionalism is the only reason why I would go back. Thank you for the great service. I recommend this business."
"I brought my mower in under warrenty and they said I need to use ethonal free gas in the lawn mower even though the directions don't say to, they screwed me over and so they wouldn't warrenty any repairs because I put reg unleaded gas in mower they said I was wrong and made me pay 170 extra even tho the warranty covers it. Watch out they will scam u and take your money. I read all the instructions and followed the warranty guidelines and still had to pay for the repair. Why pay for a warranty. I have never had such bad and rude service. I will never use them again"
"I was very pleased with everything they did, the 1st time around, back in July when they replaced a broken stabilizer part on my 8 year old edger. however, when the piece broke again, after only 10 weeks, (5 uses, I edge every 2 weeks)I was told there was nothing they could do and was charged for the new part as well as another $70. for one hour of labor. I was just going to go away mad, but STI sent me an email for a review, so there you have it. This to me shows NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!"
"Hi I'm a home owner in Awendaw I have an older toro lawn mower and needed to replace two belts that are key to operate the lawnmower . I checked the internet nationwide for the replacement belts. I was fortunate to have stumbled upon STI on the internet and glad I did! STI ordered and gave me instructions how to change my belts. It is good to know that there is a go to place to have service and sales near by. Liam"
"My Toro mower needed service, so I took it to STI after having a less than friendly experience with another certified Toro service center. The employees at STI were courteous and professional. I received a call the day I dropped it off, and was given a diagnosis of the issue. My mower is under warranty, but I hadn't registered it yet. STI took care of this for me, ordered the parts needed, and had my mower repaired in just a few days. The facility / showroom is very nice and well stocked. Overall excellent experience."
