Reviews
"Dr. Goldner is fine. He is way too busy but that is not a surprise. Unfortunately his front office people are rude and annoying. I waited 7 months for my semi annual physical and they called one week prior to say, he is out of town so the next appointment is another7 months away. Honest! And then the extremely rude staffer told me that she would NOT advise the Dr, and she hung up. Good by StJoseph Candler,I won’t be back."
"Horrible office staff. They constantly mess up appointments. Drs push unnecessary tests and get testy when you decline. My husband had an issue with his appointment being messed up and walked out. As an act of vengeance they not only terminated him but me too. Several calls were placed to the office and St Joseph Candlers find out why and I have not had any calls back."
"Have to agree with some of the reviews here that the office can be terrible to deal with, but honestly this has been my experience throughout Bluffton. I love Dr. Goldner. He has amazing bedside manner, is empathetic, and listens to my concerns. I feel like I lucked out, because finding a PCP in the area can be incredibly difficult because Bluffton's population is growing rapidly."
"Waited from January (pre-Covid) till late October for a new patient appointment with futile calls to see if the appt. could be expedited. Three days before the appt. I was informed that he was only seeing patients virtually. How can a doctor possibly see a first time patient virtually? If he is hiding out in his basement for a valid reason, then patients should be informed of such. I waited 10 months for this! This is a complete disservice to his patients. My advice, find someone else."
"This office is nothing short of a nightmare for myself and my husband. They frequently miscode medical treatments in an attempt to have Medicare approve them, then when they are not approved, the patient is responsible for payment. When he was asked if he had suicidal thoughts, that was coded as a screening for depression/mental health, which resulted in an additional fee. I was traveling from Savannah, taking personal time off for my physical. Frequently there are wrecks in the 20 miles I travel. Even though I would call to let them know what was happening, if you are 10 minutes late, he won't see you! Even if you are the last appointment of the day and the delay was unavoidable. Nope, make another appointment. If you don't see him every 3 months, no refills on your meds! I had a $500 lab bill because although St Joseph Candler Medical Group is approved by BCBS Essential, their laboratory located in the same building and also a part of St Joseph's, is NOT approved by BCBS Essential. So I got stuck with that bill as well. Good luck trying to reach the doctor. If I have a personal health issue, I'd like to be able to discuss it with him, nope. I'm switching practices, wanted to make it work but after all these different problems I decided it wasn't worth it. He may be a good doctor, but the support system doesn't work."
