"I was set up with this office upon being released from a mental health facility, part of the reason I was able to check myself out of that facility was because I had mental health connections on the outside, I was set up with this office as well as a local mental health center I’d already been established with in the past. The mental health center could only see me monthly, and via telehealth. This therapist was to see me weekly (also via telehealth, because... ya know, pandemic and all). On my first appointment she was concerned I was still too suicidal to be on my own and needed to go back to the facility, that was not an option so we found a middle ground. By my third appointment with Simone she told me that she felt I “needed more” than telehealth, so that she was going to turn me over to just the mental health centers care, even though I told her that they were exclusively telehealth as well, and could ONLY see me monthly... I still can’t wrap my head around how I “needed more” but subtracting weekly counseling was the solution.... Especially if she felt I was high risk. No thanks to her, I’m medicated and doing well with a new TELE-therapist."
