"I made an appointment on Tuesday 01/30/24 , for a Thursday morning appointment. Thursday about an hour before the window closed I get a call, you have overbooked. You just realized it!. So the an appointment was made for Monday. Nobody could come out since the guy had a sick kid. Now that's two days I've taken time off work for you not to show up. Then you were supposed to come Tuesday between 9 and 2. I had to leave at 2 and get back to work, but it was almost 3 before someone showed up. Three days wasted. Who's going to pay me for time I missed from work waiting on you not to show up ? Have I heard from you since? NO And unfortunately my washer is not working. It still leaves me with a non working washing machine and missed time at work."
"A great job was done by Carolina Appliance . I appreciated the phone calls keeping me up to date on the service call . Scott did a great job assuring me that all was good with my stove and gave me a number to call if I have any further problems. The care and friendliness was greatly appreciated !"
"Reposting because my initial review wasn’t publicly visible for some reason. This place is a mess. My warranty company booked the initial appointment for 12/19. Got a call saying they were overbooked that day and reschedule for 12/21, no big deal. Lance came out, diagnosed it as a bad control board, which is common with GE Profile dishwashers. Lance said he would order the part and we would be contacted about the follow up appointment. After not hearing anything, I texted Lance on 1/8 asking for an update. Nothing. I called the office on 1/19. The girl who answered apologized for the delay and said my part “just came in” and put me on the schedule for the morning of 1/24. I got a call that morning stating the technician that was scheduled for my job didn’t show up to work the day prior and they were clearing his schedule but could get me back on the schedule with a different technician for 1/26. I’d have to take more time off work, annoying, but okay. I was told my repair window would be between 2pm and 7pm. 7pm came and went. No tech showed up and no one called. I called back on 1/29 and was offered no explanation other than “Oh I just checked your part in. Someone should have called you tell you it wasn’t in on Friday. When can we get you back on the schedule?” At this point I’m not taking more time off work and requested they worked around my schedule. They assigned Wayne for 1/31 and put in the notes to not show up until after 3:30pm. I got a notification at 10am that he was on the way. I texted and let him know that no one would be home until 3:30pm. He understood and rearranged his schedule. When he arrived he was able to verify the control board was bad and quickly swapped it out. Wayne was great. Here’s where I get really annoyed. The shipping label was still on the parts box. It was shipped on 12/28 from GE in Indiana and arrived at an appliance parts supplier (in Mount Pleasant) on 1/2. Almost a month later it’s finally installed. I was initially happy the warranty company chose a local business. I love supporting local. However, after my experience with Carolina Appliance Repair I would not choose them for any work being paid for out of my own pocket."
"Friendly, helpful family business! It was easy and quick to schedule service for my dryer. The technician was right on time, diagnosed the problem and made the repair. This is a great appliance repair service, and I would highly recommend them!"
"Received detailed emails in advance of appointment as to arrival time. Mr Maynard explained what was going on with washing machine and what we needed to do to fix our problem. Professional service. Thanks for solving our issue."
