Upstate Dog Academy, located at 12 Grahl Court in Greenville, South Carolina, specializes in creating custom made companions from dogs. Our canine obedience program, known as The Upstate Way, focuses on teaching dogs to communicate effectively before introducing stimulating circumstances. Our goal is to help both the dog and human take their next step, whether that be having a well-mannered family pet or a trained therapy dog.
Using Pure Positive and Positive Reinforcement methods, our dedicated staff offers complete canine training and dog obedience services. Our Board and Train program is designed to transition puppies into a human pack, teaching essential behaviors such as Sit, Come, Down, Place, and more. With proper play, crate training, and potty-training, we guide dogs on the path to becoming your custom made companion.
At Upstate Dog Academy, we use balanced dog training methods to expand on commands and behaviors for dogs 6 months and older who have completed our Basic Obedience program. With effective communication and understanding of aversives and tools, we help shape your dog into the perfect partner for your lifestyle and needs.

"James and Carlos are dog whisperers. Our golden doodle trained here for the four week puppy training program over a year ago. Fast forward to now and our doodle is still well behaved, obedient, and receptive to commands. We just sent our golden retriever puppy in for training to be a therapy dog for our child with autism.
