"My daughter has an eating disorder. We came here with little expectations, but a huge need for help. She suffers from other mental health challenges and can be resistant when asked to do things she may be scared of or just doesn't want to do. Liz McGuan is hands down the most patient and kind person I have ever met in this field, which is very important when dealing with patients who have various challenges. We drive 3 hours one way once a week to see Liz and it has been so worth it. She has brought my daughter out of her shell and has made cooking and eating a positive experience for her again. I could not be happier with the care we receive from the whole office. My daughter was hesitant at first about the therapy and resistant or reluctant about the challenges given but now she is excited to shop for and help prepare her food. I couldn't be more grateful for this office. I recommend this office a million percent and just leave you with the advice to be patient and trust the process. It works if you allow it to. ❤️"
"I was a patient here for 2-3 years up until today when I successfully finished treatment and discharged after my last appointment. I don’t think I would still be alive if it weren’t for this place. It was a difficult and long journey but my therapist and healthcare team were there to help me along every step of the way. The showed nothing but kindness and compassion and we’re extremely accommodating to my family and I’s needs when we were going through rough times. I’m not gonna sugar coat it, recovering from an eating disorder is truly hell on earth. It’s extremely hard to do and you have to put work in every step of the way to get better. These people are experts and were truly great aides and guides through my whole process. I felt truly cared for and believed in and no matter how long it took or how much I stumbled they were always there with me when I got back up. It is worth every bit of your money and I deeply recommend this place to anyone out there struggling, boys and girls, no matter the age. This place helped me grow and discover who I am as a teenage girl navigating the difficult and turbulent waters of her youth. Stay strong and no matter what, don’t give up. It’s gonna be one hell of a fight but you will have so many people that care about you helping you along your journey. It will be so worth it in the end."
"This center has saved my child’s life. From day one, we were treated with respect, care and confidentiality. A review on a clinic is a difficult one. But throughout each and every step, I was supported, given multiple resources and most of all had my hand held to allow my child to heal. To me, this is priceless! We initially had insurance issues but they completed any and all forms to allow us to get a single case agreement with the insurance to cover the clinic in network. This is the ONLY clinic in our entire state that offered services. Ms. Countryman has provided the absolute best therapy that both my child and I will carry for a lifetime. Dr. Wallis and Ms. Weeks are valuable resources! If I could give them 10 stars, I would."
"Do not go here! We were referred here for an evaluation to determine if this was a good fit or not. The amount of bills I’ve received for this one evaluation is insane. $700 bill, $99 bill and six months later another $99 bill and I have insurance! They will not specify what exactly I am being charged for. I had to request an itemized bill that I can only receive through the mail. Not only did they not help us at all but they will not stop charging us for the one visit we had. If you do accept treatment here, they are only available during school hours and expect multiple family members to be present as well (for emotional support). This would require a lot of missed school time and cause more stress on the child and family members. We found help independently through a private therapist. It is a much wiser route to take."
"We see Shannon weekly and she has been a rock for me! The work is sound advice and follows family based therapy. It’s hell recovering but with great help it’s incredibly helpful."
