"While I've had incredibly good experiences with the doctors, this last time I was quite disappointed with my appointment for surgical follow-up with one of the nurse practitioners. It was clear that she was in a rush to get out of the exam room with me and just on down the hall. I had questions to ask that I never got a chance to, and even though I told her I was having a lot of trouble remembering one of my medications (specifically due to severe memory issues from a tbi in 2018), she just said, "you have to take that medicine twice a day, just set a reminder in your phone!" As if I, at 53 years old, am too uneducated (?), mentally handicapped (?), acting like I just don't want to take it (?), or like I am too stupid to figure out to try using the reminders on my phone?? Seriously?? After I already told her that those were not working for me?? I know I don't have a medical degree of any kind, however, I think I might know a little bit about me, myself, and I, and probably a good bit about my health, my psychology, and my practical capabilities regarding such things. After all, I did make it to the appointment on time... Not pleased with her attitude, demeanor, or how she just brusquely dismissed everything I said and ignored every question I had."
"The ENT department is neither accommodating nor sensitive to my being seen in a timely manner. I was given an 8 AM hearing test which lasted for 30 minutes. However, I could not see the ENT until my scheduled appointment at 11:00 AM., which means I had to sit in the lobby for over two hours because the staff refused to work me in. I will not be going back."
"I feel like my privacy has been violated. I called to make a new patient OB/GYN appointment and was asked my SSN and if I was Hispanic/Latino before I was even told there was an available appointment. I was told that there was an available appointment, so I gave my info, and then the scheduler said she wasn't sure if they take my insurance at the very end. I'm in the healthcare tech industry and I know that there are systems that calculate your "ability to pay" but it really is just racist bull that prevents people from getting the care they need. Totally unethical."
"I went twice. I have been sick for three years and had not been able to get answers locally, I was referred to the rheumatology Dept because I had tested positive for lupus. My appt was almost a year away from the time I was referred. When I finally got there, without any tests or labs being done, I was told I don't have lupus and was referred to the nephrologist. So again I traveled three hours, again NO labs or tests were done. The Dr came in and I was told they couldn't do anything for me. I was told I need to get my blood pressure under control. The doctor was the rudest doctor I have ever been to (and I have been to a lot of Drs in the last three years) I left in tears because he was so rude and they made NO effort what so ever to help me."
"Appt at the pediatric gestro clinic. Place is very easy to find, staff are nice and helpful. But the appt was at 0900 (9Am) here it is after 1130 and we have only gotten my child's weigh and everything. Still in room by ourselves. Nurse has been here a few times to check up on us and to take information. But if I could I would give it zero stars just bc they are talking about lunch but there are people that have been here over an hour and have yet to be seen and we have been waiting for two hours for the doctor who is already eating lunch with people waiting fo them... unacceptable I know this is a medical student clinic but we can't wait any longer. Update, they finally got to us when I told them I was leaving... After 1215 before we left our appt that was supposed to be at 9Am"
