"I was a patient of Dr. Nunnery when he was at Lexington Family Practice Columbia location (Polo Rd). I was forced to follow him to Ballentine (Needed immediate care) by LMC Urgent Care Saluda Pointe. LFP(Columbia) receptionist would not allow us (me and my children) to see his old PA..Dr. Christensen whom we started building a good relationship with. We saw him once when Dr. Nunnery was out of the office and have requested him ever since. He's good yall!! Dr. Christensen is very caring and thorough. I was advised I had to go to Dr. Nunnery... I made the trip to Ballentine to Dr. Nunnery and it has been one of the worst encounters I've had with a "DR". Today was my last day tolerating his KIND of behavior. All I'll say for now is....Treat EVERYONE with the same dignity and respect that you would want your family to be treated with.!!!!"
"I have been a patient of Lexington Family Practice Ballentine for over a decade. I appreciate the medical care I receive. I use the Mychart app. Messages are answered quickly (mostly) or by the end of the day. Prescriptions refill requests are handled swiftly. I have no complaints and definitely recommend the practice."
"Husband had a a first time appointment with PA Porter. Unfortunately he got stuck at work (new job) and was not able to make it. I called and canceled the appointment right away, but a few days later received a letter "releasing " him from the practice. When I called, I was told that this is office policy unless you cancel 24 hours or more in advance. I guess the staff there are special and have never had an emergency happen that prevented them from being where they needed to be! Life must run smoothly for them all of the time!! Well glad to know that they are understanding and caring!"
"EXCELLENT experience with Dr. Scott McKay and this office. Wanda, the receptionist, was professional, nice and very helpful. Dr. McKay was kind, helpful, thorough and when it comes to humility, he is the greatest! Michelle the nurse was cheerful, helpful, encouraging and a great person to fill in the gaps for those in the office that were pressed for time and could not be as helpful. Mercedes Jones was outstanding! She checked us out with a sweet spirit and helped facilitate an administrative detail for us that would have been very difficult for us to complete without her help. Finally, Erica's phone presence was excellent, helpful and kind. Quite a good experience at this office."
"I live in Kershaw county, so it’s a little ways to go. I left home early in case I got behind a wreck or some other unforeseen issue. However, I ended up getting there between 15 -20 minutes late. First of all I apologized and told her I was willing to sit there all day until somebody had a break but I needed to be seen. She said they have a policy that once you are marked as a ‘no show’ the system won’t allow them to schedule you on the same day! I am disabled and on oxygen! I needed a doctor! I told her I don’t mind seeing someone else. Nope! They flat refused to see me. Told me to go to urgent care or the ER. I will find a more compassionate practice closer to home. They schedule patients at 10 minute intervals… that says a lot! They obviously care more about the dollar than they do the patients. I would like to add that I loved Dr.Nunnery, that's why I followed him from the NE Office to Ballentine. I asked them to talk to him that day and if he wouldn't see me I'd leave. They said he said no. A part of doesn't believe them but I did find another Dr that is 2 1/2 miles from home and I like them very much. I know losing one patient won't make or break them but I think their 'oath' needs to say something about forget the dollar and treat the patient. They showed no empathy or compassion for my situation and that was all I needed to convince me it is time to move on. I'm a patient now and not a quota to fill."
