"When I first became pregnant, I didn’t understand much about doulas and didn’t think I was someone who necessarily “needed” one. I was planning to have a pretty standard hospital birth, etc. However, after learning more and talking to others I knew who’d wished they had had someone help them navigate childbirth, especially the first time, and feeling in my gut like I needed more support than my doctor was providing, my husband and I started looking more into the idea. From our first conversation with Angel, we felt like she was someone we wanted to work with. She was endlessly patient with our questions, and provided so much support before, during, and even after our baby girl was born. She helped us calmly navigate more than one scary moment, and I’m not sure what we would’ve done without her. I attribute our very positive birth experience to having her guidance. She will work with you on the experience YOU want without judgment. On top of that, she’s just a lovely person and we enjoyed getting to know her. It’s a beautiful thing to meet someone who you can tell is doing exactly the work they are meant to be doing. I cannot recommend Angel highly enough!"

"Choosing Angel to partner along side us for the birth of our first born was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy. She was kind, compassionate, encouraging, and the absolute best support during labor and postpartum care. She was available when I needed to ask questions through my pregnancy and after the birth. I went into labor in the middle of the night and Angel was still responsive to my texts/calls. She even made it to the hospital after just finishing another birth. I immediately felt relief and comfort upon her arrival! She helped me labor by offering support and suggesting numerous recommendations during the pushing stage. She made sure I was hydrating and resting when I could. Unfortunately, my labor took a turn when my blood pressure and baby’s heart rate dropped and I had to have an emergency c-section. However, Angel was there to comfort- not just me, but to my spouse and family members. It was so helpful to have someone there for them. She was allowed to come in the operating room after the birth and it was Angel who suggested bringing our son over to my chest- which she knew meant a lot to me! She even stayed with our baby afterwards so my husband could stay with me while they finished the operation. The immediate days and weeks to follow were a little challenging because of breast feeding issues, but Angel was still on call for us and helped lead us to two amazing lactation consultants. It was also nice to have her visit us at home once we were all settled in! We simply cannot imagine that time, before, during, and after, without Angel being there. I would recommend her to anyone who is considering a doula and I will never have another baby without a doula present! In fact, when we have more children and Angel is still working, we would love for her to partner with us again!"

"I honestly don't know what we would have done without Angel helping us out during our pregnancy and birth. She was an incredible source of information for us, and helped guide us through the process of switching hospitals late in our pregnancy. As the father, Angel helped prepare me for ways to help out during the labor and delivery so that I was able to help in constructive ways. "I could write an entire book about the incredibly positive and empowering experience of having Angel by my husband’s and my side during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I am a first time mom and was pretty nervous about the prospect of giving birth. I also do not have the benefit of living near family and knew that having a doula to assist in this journey would help ease my anxiety. From the very first phone call I made to her when I was 8 weeks pregnant I knew Angel was a gem of a person. She is so very kind and compassionate, always taking ample time to speak with me and answer all of my questions. I felt like I was talking to an old friend. She provided so many helpful resources that allowed me and my husband to become educated about what to expect during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. When it came time to labor and deliver, Angel was absolutely instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of an unmedicated birth. I had a relatively quick birth and while many factors contribute to that aspect of labor, I do think that thanks to Angel’s expertise in fetal positioning and her calm reassuring nature, I was able to let my body do its job, free from worry, and this allowed baby to come into the world unhindered. Angel knew exactly what to do during labor and delivery to keep me calm and help me feel empowered every step of the way. My husband also benefited from having a doula with us. He was given tips and techniques to best support me and was told what to expect during the whole labor and delivery process. Because of this, I didn’t have to worry about possibly overwhelming him during the birth, I knew he was also going to be supported right alongside me. I could just focus on getting baby out! Angel worked seamlessly with the hospital staff during the birth. She is always so professional and warm. She is well-respected in the childbirth community. My OBGYN had worked with her previously and had only positive things to say. My birth experience was everything I had hoped it would be thanks in large part to Angel. I sincerely believe that without her there, my birth experience would have been vastly different. I am so satisfied with how it all happened! She helped create a safe and peaceful environment for us to welcome our baby. During the postpartum period, Angel kept in close contact with me. She continued to be kind, compassionate, informative, and professional. She is always providing helpful information and encouragement. You’re never left feeling like you’re a burden or that your questions are silly. She is so kind and helpful. I cannot recommend Angel enough. If you are thinking about wanting to hire a doula, Angel is amazing and you will be giving yourself, your birth partner, and baby an amazing gift. You’ll be informed and empowered, educated and confident, and have peace of mind. Working with Angel has been such wonderful experience and I can’t wait to have her there for the birth of our next child."
