"I recently went through Sea School of Charleston to receive my OUPV instruction that began on May 5th, two consecutive weekends. Seth, who instructed our class, was by far one of the best instructors I have ever had. He’s knowledgeable, patient, helpful and explains everything making it easy to understand. Michelle at the front desk is also very nice and helpful with paperwork etc. A few things I felt could be better. Nav Rules should be the first subject taught along with chart plotting and save Nav/Deck Gen for the last weekend. Also, $80 to test after paying $665 for the course is greedy in my opinion. Especially when the room you test in is separated by paper thin doors and you can hear the class being taught in the next room. If you need a quiet environment to test, this isn’t the most favorable one. Now, if you’re going in to this class thinking it’s a cake walk, I’ll forewarn you it’s not. Seth gave us a solid foundation and the materials needed to be successful captains and to pass the final exams. You WILL need to study outside of the class for as many hours or more that you attend class! I put in an additional 120+ hours studying because I wanted the prize at the end! Nav Rules is no joke if you’re learning that material for the first time. Study! Study! Study! After completing the last day of class, I took my exams the Tuesday following and passed everything on the first try. Thank you Seth and Michelle for an outstanding experience!"
"I just passed my Coast Guard OUPV exam all four parts. I would recommend Sea School to anyone who is thinking about getting their Six-pack license. Sea School course helps you understand the material and prepare you for the exam. I plan on attending their course to obtain my 25T Masters as well. Overall great experience."
"I took my Masters here and will be taking my Auxiliary Sail and Assisted Towing on July 26th at this location as well. Easy to get to, super informative and I got to listen in on an actual class while there ( I did all mine online ). This place is awesome and I will be doing my Master 200 next! I firmly recommend Sea School because they have instructors on call that can make learning easy!"
"Professional staff and instructors. Everyone was very helpful helping with my OUPV class. Will definitely use them again for future classes and highly recommend."
"Professional USCG endorsement qualification training and career support and advancement by a great crew of mariners. Highly recommended for all levels of training."
