"In Charleston for business and had to stop by the Citadel. I came back here twice during my time there. Just amazing and the bookstore was off the charts."
"Our visit to The Citadel was truly fascinating. As we explored the campus in Charleston, South Carolina, we were struck by its rich history and impressive architecture. The Summerall Chapel, in particular, left a lasting impression with its magnificent stained glass windows and grand design. Witnessing the disciplined cadet corps in their uniforms added to the unique atmosphere of the campus. We were fortunate to catch a parade or drill on Summerall Field, where the cadets' precision and dedication were on full display."
"This is a beautiful clean and welcoming campus rich in honor and history"
"Clean cut at its best. Given the shenanigans going on at most college campuses today, it was nice to see respect and professionalism on display everywhere. No ragged and torn clothing, no Rand McNally maps running up and down arms (tattoos) no steel dangling from noses, no pants hanging half off butts, one could feel pride in America and hope for the future when touring this vast and beautiful campus. A quick tour showed this to be a non-nonsense, education first, institution. Having been in the military, it did not take me long to figure out that the "fast walkers" were freshmen. They stuck to their designated walkways, off the sidewalks for the most part, walking at a fast clip with a pronounced gait, and making sharp right turns at the corners. We would go back in a heartbeat and you should too when you start to lose faith in America. Different uniforms but it reminded me a lot of Annapolis. God bless the USA."
