St Mark United Methodist Church

"It is with sadness and tears that I post this review of St. Mark UMC. I have always loved the St. Mark Church family. Both of my daughters are members there. I have been a member since 2010. I thought I was part of the St. Mark family, but over the last several months I have felt like, for lack of better words, I was not a “good enough member. “. In January 2022, my husband, Clayton, was diagnosed with lung cancer. In November 2022 we found out the cancer had spread and treatments would no longer be effective. Elizabeth Weesner sent out a message at that time. I did get a few text messages from Pastor Ed at that time, but those pretty much stopped as of December 6, 2022. I really could have used some hand holding, hugs, shoulders to cry on, comforting and encouraging words from my Sisters In Christ. I did receive a card from Susie Seel and husband, thank you, Michelle Shaw, thank you, and generic from the Shawn Ramsey Circle. Phone number, text, could have easily been obtained from my daughter , Lisa Smith or her sister in law, Elizabeth Weesner. I do hope and pray that you will see the spiritual needs of other members, even if they are not as overly active in the Church as others, and reach out to them."
