"I stand by the one star. This practice has 8 providers and you have to see all 8 so they are familiar with your file. You can't choose one over the other which gives you zerop personal relationship with any one of them. Even if you end up liking one or two you still have to see the rest which is what brings me to why I left this group. On my third OB visit I met a doctor that was very challenging, in fact, rude to everything I said I wanted for my birth plan. In fact, I remember her saying "that's not a birth plan". I believe I told her I had a doula to be my advocate she felt offended. When I told her I wanted my water to break naturally and to be offered medical intervention only in an extreme case she told me maybe I'd be more comfortable at a birth center. This is my third child, I am not a teen mom, I know what I want and I didn't appreciate being talked down to. This place was not for me and I hope this review helps whoever it needs to."
"Lady called me regarding my appointment today following the last days. She confirmed Ill have to pay out of pocket very bad customer service she was very rude her name was tracey or Sarah the lady stated to me."
"I love the doctors and nurses here! I went to them during my first pregnancy and they took great care of us. They were patient with all my questions and were very compassionate when I had a little scare part way through the pregnancy. Dr. Friday delivered my son and I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor."
"Dr.Helen Brown is Top Notch. I couldn't ever imagine having a more Honest upfront Dr that I know I can trust with my Healthcare Needs!. God Blessed Dr. Brown with the knowledge to guide her to the cause of our Infertility and after working very closely 1 month with Brown we were Blessed with the Greatest Gift there could be and that's our Daughter now 9 Year's old."
"I’m sharing a picture of the entrance hallway where they have portraits of old white men, probably the first male gynecologists or something, but it is an indicator of the way this office is run. It’s a factory. The doctor I saw said he used to be able to do more but because of “Obamacare” he can’t do anything really anymore. For anyone that is curious, the ACA (it’s own and not politically charged name) does not restrict him from anything. The SC State health insurance plan does NOT meet the basic requirements of the ACA as they felt they were grandfathered in and would not have to, but it does restrict care. It’s a state/local issue, not a federal one. Besides blaming Obama, he told me that if you have PCOS he gives you metformin, birth control if you don’t want kids, and clomid if you do, that’s it. He didn’t care about side effects, or personal experiences, I guess that’s part of what he thinks the ACA holds him back from. I personally don’t like metformin because of the diarrhea issues even on extended release, but he seemed to take this as me rejecting medical advice instead of just informing a doctor of side effect issues that disrupt me from living my life. He also incredulously asked why if I wanted more kids (I’m 41)… I don’t have children and my one round of IVF failed. I would have thought an OB/GYN would have been more sensitive. He final thought to me was that I should probably leave the state if I wanted better care. I’m fine with that advice because I have the ability to leave, but it frightens me that this is the care women that can’t leave here will get."
