"Chase, Katie, and Ricky are phenomenal people! They provide excellent customer service. They went above and beyond to provide me of what I needed. I greatly appreciate everything they have done. Ricky is very knowledgeable of his line of work. I’m am confident that he can resolve any mechanical issues I may have in the future. To all my friends in the boating community I strongly recommend them!"
"Took my trailer in for repairs. Katie at the front desk and Rick (mechanic) were great to work with. Replaced brackets, new carpet, smooth sailing."
"Very friendly people that work with your schedule. The reason for my two star review is that I took my boat in to be de-winterized and have the bilge pump checked because the switch didn't light up and it never seemed to pump anything out. I was charged $84.70 to check the bilge and was told it was working. I had my boat in Lake Keowee over the 4th of July weekend and it rained every evening. It wasn't under a dock so it got rained in. Shouldn't be an issue, but the bilge was not working and I ended up having to get a bilge pump and connect it to my battery to keep the water out of my hull. This makes me question what other maintenance was paid for but not conducted. Again, super nice people but their technician may be taking shortcuts and/or pencil whipping checks."
"A few years ago I took my boat to a "certified" mechanic I'm not going to mention. Before taking it, my boat ran great, I wanted a simple tune-up. After waiting months and paying close to $3000 for all sorts of "issues" my boat had, I took it out and it wouldn't run. I had lost faith in mechanics but decided to give it one more shot. I found SouthTown Watersports after a google search for 'boating mechanics near me'. I called them up and spent almost 30 minutes on the phone giving them all the details of my boat. The call was very professional and I felt like I had been carefully listened to about the status of my boat. I took my boat in and two mechanics got pictures and details of boats and its symptoms. I left by boat for about a week and was updated by text-messages when work was being done, as well as receive any calls about any possibly charge and if I wanted to continue with it. The price was extremely reasonable, especially compared to my last experience with another mechanic, and there were some things I was not charged for. This week, I took my boat out for the first time since I took it in to SouthTown Watersports, and I must say, I'm incredibly impressed by how well it runs. It's never ran so smooth. Ricky and his team did an AMAZING JOB! I will ONLY recommend SouthTown Watersports from this point on. Thanks so much SouthTown for your incredible customer service and high quality work!"
"Had a great service experience, and here are a couple of reasons why: 1 - As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted and helped with a smile. 2- Very positive atmosphere, they make you feel like you are a valued customer, and take great care to make you feel comfortable with the service plan. 3- They are upfront with pricing that is fair. Any deviation is communicated and okayed before proceeding. 4- They sell $100k + boats that they are regularly servicing here. I assure you mine is nowhere near that valuable but I never felt like my boat was less important or left by the wayside to make time for other more expensive boats or services. My repair was timely and the updates by call and text were helpful to know my job way underway and completed. Jeff and the team made a life long customer out of me, and I look forward to bringing my boat back for any needs as well as future boat purchases. Thanks y’all!"
