"Had to get a quick gift for my sister. Not to many people in store. Found items on sale, no line at the cashier and i was gone fast. JC Penny has always been my go to store."

"Walked in from outside to immediately get into the line with my return. Wasted 20 minutes of my time because I finally get to the counter to be told I have to go to another part of the store for a return. There's no sign posted but I was informed an announcement was made PRIOR to me even entering the store. Cool. Terrible customer service! Updated to 3 stars because the employees downstairs were much more helpful and were honest by informing me no store announcement had been made and all signs were removed by corporate - without explanation. I respect people who acknowledge the issue rather than lie to me and imply it was my fault for not entering the correct line."

"I really like to shop at JCPenney. They need more cashier's. The young gentleman working alone at the downstairs check out was very busy, answering phones, questions, taking returns, working the register while remaining friendly, polite, and doing his absolute best. I wish I would have asked his name. He was excellent and you can tell a very hard worker. If it helps the company to know which employee I am speaking about to commend him on a job well done. I was in the store Tuesday November 14th 2023 around 2pm."

"Tonight, these beautiful, marvelous women Gabriella, and Hannah made MAGIC!! Customer service with them was above board! We laughed, conversation was very welcoming. They FREAKING hairstyles they did for my best friend and daughter brought a instant glow and confidence to them, it was much needed. We love you!!!"

"Love this store but I’m Not a fan of how they combined the first floor checkout, online pickup, customer service, and returns in to one line. The line is always extremely long and normally just 1-2 cashiers. And people are returning online orders, etc. I think the order pickup, customer service/exchanges and regular checkout should be separate. This is just awful."
