"Aug. 2023 UPDATE: I've had to edit and update my review since new ownership/ the remodel. The buffet was better BEFORE the changes. The waffles were hard and overdone. The plates used for the buffet weren't kept warmed with plate warmers like it was before. Some of the food wasn't even hot. Then the selection was bizarre. They had like salmon, shrimp cocktail, and more like dinner meats. I feel like the pricing didn't match the quality of the food. And I think before you had other options of things to eat if you didn't want the buffet. They should have just left it how it was. The new color scheme and look is cute. Nothing was wrong with it before. I'll go back again to see if things have improved but I was quite disappointed. OLD REVIEW: I LOVEDDDDD this cafe. We ate here for breakfast back to back and had the breakfast buffet which we just loved. Our server the second time wasn't so on par but the first time everything was terrific. The natural light in this place is INSANE and gives the restaurant such a luxurious feel and just makes you happy just being there. I will absolutely come back again. As far as the buffet the sausage was my favorite thing but the also have a omelet station."

"The breakfast buffet is back! Only on Saturday and Sunday. I highly suggest reservations. They start serving at 9:00am. You can go before and order off the menu. So many wonderful choices to choose from. The service is impeccably on point. They cater to everything in your needs. Asking for bread and sauces. Best coffee ☕ and peach tea. There's little of everything for dietary needs. I love how they transform the room and add fresh flowers. Must have for a special occasion."

"I would pass on The Palmetto Cafe, while it was one of the better hotel breakfasts we have had there are much better places in Charleston. The service was extremely slow, the food was mediocre/expensive and water dripped on us throughout the entire meal (even after we moved tables twice)!"

"They no longer serve brunch items; the server is very pushy for alcoholic drinks despite being early lunch time; the ink noodle is extremely salty; the tuna sandwich is not worth the money; the environment however, is great."
