"Everything about the Iron Rose was a delight! The food was delicious, ranging from the well balanced vegetables plates to the savory entrees. I had the best espresso martini EVER which also happens to be named after the restaurant! Our server Natalie was VERY sweet and also knowledgeable on all of the menu items. We were very pleased with her suggestions. We sat in the corner booth which had a straight on view of the beautiful real hanging iron lotus and an outdoor fountain to my left. I’ve been to a lot of places in Charleston, but this might be my favorite after tonight. What a way to start the new year!"

"I'm more than sure the reviews with 5 stars are fake. Only thing good was waitress. Over priced food steering the tourist away from the real good food. Pimento cheese was the only decent serving. Stuff Oysters had no flavor just a bunch of crumble on top. So many flies that one ended in my drink. Crossaint bread pudding was just an old ball of bread with a watery syrup. Deft worse place in charleston."

"The best things about the restaurant was the great service, ambiance or historic setting, and fantastic cocktails. The food was good but not fantastic. It fell short of our expectations. My husband's pork dish was well seasoned but dry. The chef made me a vegetarian entree after I asked. It was just a plate of unseasoned vegetables. Not much thought put into it."
