"A very down home oyster joint and beer market. Too many flies, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, but the view of the marsh and sunset is lovely. The broiled scallops and oysters were absolutely delicious! The corn was on point! Would love to return with my oyster loving kids after a great day at the beach, a mere 10 minutes drive from here."
"Generally, a local greasy spoon is a must. However, a greasy basket just screams laziness. The prices are obviously going to be higher when you are in a tourist area but this was a sad experience. The crab cakes were made from the lowest quality crabmeat and very soggy. The fried green tomatoes had me excited but were a let down due to being very hard and no taste or tartness you normality expect. The dill shallot sauce was the best out if everything. The perch was very fishy and scallops slightly chewy and definitely greasy. The cocktail sauce had a good amount of horseradish and we normally a0sk force Xtra in which they had. Seventy dollars for two (we ordered water) served on greasy paper in a basket."
"Excellent. LoLo's actually surprised me. I was expecting a fried seafood restaurant that tasted like all the rest. It wasn't that at all. The food tasted really good and everyone at our table was pleased. I had the blackened Cobia on red rice and it was great. The deck on the back of the restaurant was really nice with a great breeze. Get there early to avoid the crowd and take advantage of their happy hour specials!"
"All I have to say is this is the spot!! Get the crab cakes. Delicious!! The outdoor patio is super cool to sit and look out at the water while you dine."
"We made reservations for 7:30 and were seated right when we got to LoLo’s. Parking was a little tricky, but we lucked out and got a spot right up front and the rain held off for us to sit outside to eat. The view was beautiful! It was pretty cramped inside. If you can get a seat outside do it! I’m a true southerner and have eaten my weight in fried green tomatoes all over SC. I must say, I think these are the best I’ve ever had and my husband agreed. Food overall was fantastic and the view was beautiful. LoLo’s is a great beach hole-in-the-wall seafood spot. I’d definitely recommend! Fried green tomatoes 5/5 Fried flounder/shrimp 5/5 Low Country Boil 4/5 Elote (Mexican street corn) 2/5 service 4/5 Overall 5/5"
