"Had a girls day & decided to try something new. The dining area was clean & quite cute but the bathroom was absolutely gross. Our server, though friendly, did not seem to know much about the food options & could not confidently recommend anything to us. They were out of coke (a treat I only allow myself if I dine out) but the sweet tea was actually a really good alternative. I ordered chicken & waffles which was super tasty & my girlfriend ordered some sort of salad that she absolutely loved. Our overall experience was good & I’d revisit if I’m ever in the area again but some fairly minor improvements could make this place pretty awesome."
"Had heard all kinds of good things so I stopped in with my elderly mother early afternoon to check it out. Mom ordered just two sides since she wasn't very hungry; a buttermilk pancake and a plain biscuit. I ordered a BLT on wheat bread. About 10 minutes later, my mother's pancake was delivered to the table and we were told the biscuits were in the oven and might be a little while and would she like to order something else. She was okay with waiting. It was another 10 minutes before my BLT was brought to the table and a few minutes later my mother got her biscuit. My mother's review of the pancake was that it tasted good but lacked the fluffiness she prefers. The biscuit was not baked all the way through so that was disappointing. My BLT looked great. The bacon was crispy. However, the bread was toasted and not toasted on the grill with butter which is how some other restaurants make them. The acoustics are not great in the restaurant. It may have been 75% filled with nobody at the bar but it was very hard to hear. Given that we already have our go-to breakfast/brunch place, it's not likely we would give this place another try."
"Ok I get it that this place just opened but what an absolutely horrible experience! Placed in an online, pickup order at 10:20am for: biscuits-n-gravy, sausage egg and cheese biscuit, side order of moon dusted potatoes, grits with bacon and queso, and two extra biscuits. Food still wasn’t ready by 11:30am. Finally get home to eat and was super disappointed by the lack of flavor! 1) the gravy for the biscuits had a layer of grease just sitting on top of it. After stirring it up, it was still so thick, no movement/flow of how gravy should be, and lacked flavor. Just an absolute disappointment… 2) the grits with bacon and queso was so runny! There was absolutely no flavor in it at all and left a horrible after taste. Took one bite and threw it away. 3) ok, I’ll give credit that the plain biscuits were “ok” but definitely had better elsewhere! 4) the “moon dusted” potatoes were ok but cold. 5) there were PLENTY of open tables but still had a line of customers out the door This place has A LOT to work on! From our experience with wait time and overall taste of what $32 will buy, we won’t be returning."
