"I am not intending hyperbole when I write this - Old Li's is among the best Asian food I have ever eaten. First, just the white rice was perfect. It was sticky enough for eating with chopsticks as intended and held its form with sauces. It came with the sweet and sour ribs we ordered. Those were amazing! Fried to tender perfection and lightly glazed. Very good! We also ordered the beef noodles. The noodles were just the right texture with excellent flavor. The cuts of beef were tender and not at all stringy or grisly as one sometimes finds in Asian cuisine. Again, absolutely wonderful! The best thing about Old Li's is a kind of hidden thing - this is obviously a family owned and operated restaurant. So, the chef who made my dinner likely prepares food most, if not all, of the time. So, one can expect the same, consistent level of culinary performance whenever they may visit."

"Great service and amazing food. The most authentic Chinese food you'll find in the Lowcountry and very affordable. Don't let the prices fool you because the dishes are MASSIVE. We ordered 7 dishes and 6 bowls of rice that came out to around $30 per person. We had 6 people. You have to do it family style. I don't recommend one dish per person. Doesn't make sense. Dishes are rather spicy too, so if you're worried about the spiciness level, ask first."

"Fantastic authentic Chinese food. The Yuxiang Pork and the Mapo Tofu were out of this world. I enjoyed the Saliva Chicken, but didn’t realize it wasn’t a hot dish. Not a critique, I just didn’t know. The flavor is incredible."

"If you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine- Old Li’s is the closest you’ll get here in Charleston. It’s unsuspecting but they serve incredibly tasty and authentic Chinese food! The atmosphere could use a little work as it feels like dining in at a take out place and the service can be a touch better but overall the staff is nice and the food is amazing. My favorite dish here is the spicy beef soup! I also highly recommend the mapo tofu, fried chicken wings, and silken fish. Great food here!"
