"The service was great. Our waitress was attentive, but not hovering. Always there when we needed her. Overall the food was good, but two major complaints: 1) The mushrooms my mom got were VERY strong in the garlic. I like garlic, but there was so much on them, that no vampire would come near the entire hotel later. 2) The paella was good, but it seemed like they used soy sauce and not saffron to flavor the rice. Saffron is a required ingredient when making any kind of paella, and the soy sauce made it salty, and frankly not paella for me. The dish was good, but i wouldn't call it paella because of that. Some of the pictures showed the traditional method with saffron, so I'm not sure if they ran out or simply thought we wouldn't notice the difference, but if they ran out it would've been nice to have been asked first."
"Big fan of their seafood paella - fresh / made to order and they don't skimp on the seafood. Service was great too. Combined with good happy hour deals and tapas and its a place we would love to go back to !"
"Paella is over the top! Tapas selection is wonderful and the atmosphere warm and cozy. Our Server Emma had some super suggestions and we had lots of samplers and yummy desserts. A super Dining experience."
"I've been wanting to go here for almost a year. A friend and I stopped in sat at the bar met with the bartender Jesse really knowledgeable guy makes amazing sangria by hand nothing premade. Basically explain the menu and we ordered hanger steak kale salad the dates seafood small paella ( Incinerated seafood inedible) and the octopus. They have a Greek Chef making Spain food?... I was looking forward to the octopus which was more of a warm salad with potato and a few pieces of octopus very disappointed. However the meal the drinks the company still left me with a great impression and I can't believe how unbelievably and inexpensive this place is and I also notice it's more of a local restaurant than a tourist spot which is odd since it's located on King Street downtown definitely NOT my go-to going forward."
"While Barsa is further north than most of the action on King Island is certainly worth the visit. The tapas at this restaurant were wonderful. The inside could be livened up/freshened up a bit and was a bit musty smelling but while being dated was a clean location. There is a small patio as well but it is pretty basic and didn't seem overly enticing."
