"Very casual dining and a bar section. You order at a counter, and they bring to you. The fish is fried, flaky, and very good. It's not greasy and has a nice batter. We have eaten at both locations and take out the fish often. The menu is imited mainly fish with or without buns, homemade chips, fries, peas and a couple of meat pie options. The tarter sauce is made there and delicious. Served on paper with plastic utensils. If you like fish, this is a great place to try."

"We were craving some fish and this place was on Ubereats with no delivery fee so I finally got to try them, and they were everything I hoped they would be. I got a curry chicken pie, an extra fish, and a big fish meal for hubby. The pie, on arrival, was very dry. I took a little bite and the flavor was very mild. I put it away to eat my fish. The fish is INCREDIBLE. Flaky, light, perfectly battered and fried. The housemade tartar sauce is amazing, as good as or better than my own. The serving is generous. The fries were good even after traveling to us. The next day, the curry chicken pie was FAR better, the crust having soaked up the goodness and relaxed a bit. I recommend saving it overnight in the fridge for best taste and texture. These folks do so much for the community beyond selling us delicious fish, and I will be a repeat customer. If you need fried fish, you need The CODfather!"

"We have been here several times. The first couple times were great. Fish was good and it was nice and light. The last few times haven’t been great. It seems like the batter is old or too hot or I’m not sure what the issue is but it comes out very dark and does not taste good at all. As a restaurant that focuses so heavily on one menu item that specific thing should be pretty spot on. Not sure what has changed from the first couple times we had it but I wish the issue would be resolved because it was really good when the batter was fresh and done right. After three separate visits with pretty much this same result I’m not sure returning is worth it."

"Went on the 'quiet period' around 2.30pm. Food (fish & chips) was the best I've tasted in South Carolina and was recommended by a fellow Brit. Portion size was great for the price. $5 12oz draft beer was a bonus. Will be back again next time I go back to the docs in Mount Pleasant."
