"We were from out of town passing through looking for some BBQ we found yall! My friend and I both had the 3 Topps Burger and it didn't disappoint. The Blend of flavors were absolutely on point! We found out when we got there that it was Veteran owned which hit home for my friend Jesse which also served in the Army. We love supporting veterans and local businesses! We will be back and will stop again."
"I gave a 5 rating but it needs an asterisk. We were late lunch arrival so there wasn't a crowd. We were cheerfully greeted and sat instantly. Hostess took time to explain everything as this was our first time visiting. Food was quickly delivered after ordering and everything was very hot. I don't know why people wrote reviews about the sides being flavorless as we both enjoyed 4 different sides from the Mac and cheese to the collard greens and enjoyed them. The cornbread was moist and melted in your mouth. The tea was sweet, but well below the McDonald's diabetes level. There were 4 sauces, but the asterisk in my 5 star review comes from the vinegar based sauce. It is not what I grew up on in Lexington NC. The others were very good. In fact, I found mixing the Hickory with the Peach rendered a favorable combo with the pecan smoke flavor of the pork. I enjoyed the pulled pork as the meat did have good moisture and smoke flavor. My wife's ribs fell off the bones and she loved them. Will be going back as there wasn't any disappointments found at this restaurant from the moment we opened the door till we left. Great service, great food and having a military decor was icing on the visit."
"Fire! My mouth is on Fire! We Pulled off i95, on the way to South Carolina, looking for something better than fast food. Getting hangry, we pulled into lot to look up reviews for restaurants in the area and parked under a southern White oak shady spot in front of some neighborhood minimal BBQ joint. Not expecting much since it’s the neighborhoods only restaurant. Sorta small inside. The dude hands me a few free wings on a fancy tray and says to try ‘em and test out the sauces. The spicy sauce has my mouth on fire and oil ordered 30 more wings for lunch and dinner. Slow smoked, these are how wings USED to taste at Stickey Fingers. When they still had pride. Wife got the brisket nachos because …..well… it’s nachos with brisket. Duh. Best darn wings in years. Thinking about buying 50 and freezing them when I get home. How do I keep lucking up? Great service. Great bartender. Server is awesome. They honor military with patches on the wall too. Thought that was cool. Worth pulling off the hey to come here."
"I don’t know how I feel about their food to be honest. I definitely wasn’t impressed. The reviews hyped the food up a little too much. I had the three meat special with brisket, ribs, and chicken. My sides were Mac n cheese and collards. I had cornbread, okra, and banana pudding too. I ordered the chicken wings also. The mac n cheese was dry and flavorless. The bananas in the banana pudding were black!!!! The brisket and chicken was dry and flavorless. The ribs were okay. I shouldn’t have to put sauce on my meat to enjoy it. The chicken wings were dry and not much flavor. The collards were nasty. The only thing I liked were the okra and cornbread. I wouldn’t recommend nor would I return. I wasted $50."
