Sweet Frog

"I would rate Sweet Frog as 5 stars if it's pricing for frozen yogurt was somewhat lower. I believe the atmosphere is fine, but all the self serve machines take the "human" element out of the picture. Most other soft serve shops have help behind the counter, ask you what you desire flavor wise, size wise and then, whether you want to add toppings. That's service. In Sweet Frog there are a couple of walls lined with frozen yogurt machines and after you pick up a size container you want, you then go to the machine or machines you want to obtain the flavor and amount you want. I think it's natural instinct for most people to pour more than they really want. There is no way to know what the cost will be. It's just so easy to keep the spouts pouring. But it does result in more revenue for ownership and that's what business is all about. I have spent between $13 and $18 for the yogurts I poured. No toppings. I gave service 4 stars, but there job is merely to stand behind their counter, add toppings should you want some, weigh your container - full, and then take your money. If they do this well and are friendly, you add a tip. Plenty of seating and tables inside or if you wish - outdoor front and side seating. With more experience I will know better how much to pour to quench my frozen yogurt craving and spend less. All in all, a great yogurt treat and very nice, friendly help. A good experience. I'll be back!"

"If you want to take a mortgage out for a half cup of Fro-Yo then this is the place to go. 1/2 cup of choc ice milk, drizzle of choc sauce, 1 oz of chopped peanuts = $8.80. Reallllly??????? And the ice milk, not ice cream, was terrible at best. McDonald’s $2 hot fudge sundae blows it away. And it’s double the size. Embarrassing."

"If money is no object, then by all means enjoy. But if you don't want to spend $11 on your kid's size small order, skip it. The cup wasn't even full."

"The best froyo is here! I would recommend this place to anyone, especially families who want a fun outing in the afternoon. It is a great way to cool off after a day at the beach or a place to just hang out with friends. My favorite flavor is tart and they have many toppings!"

"I realize that we are in Hilton Head and that this is a resort area, but $22.07 for 2 small cups of ice cream, a total of no more than 6oz per cup, is a bit absurd. I almost walked out but felt obliged to finish the transaction since I put the ice cream in the cups. I saw no prices posted anywhere, and buying ice cream shouldn't require an unexpected trip to an ATM machine. (or cost as much or more than dinner). As a point of comparison, a small cone with the same amount of ice cream at the Dairy Queen is $2.50, and the ice cream was much better and creamier. The staff seemed very nice, but I am sure they didn't set the ridiculous prices for this location either."
