"Saw a bald eagle, some grey herons, and at least a dozen armadillos. Gorgeous, peaceful woods that are very alive. No entrance fee - sweet"
"Easy to get to, publicly accessible trails, we saw several genus and species there including armadillo and alligator!"
"This is a must place to visit if you like nature and the serene environment that exists here. This is a very large area to walk, hike, or ride a bike with directions placed at certain locations to keep you oriented."
"Excellent place to ride bikes or walk and look at the wildlife. My fiance and I biked all over the island, and had a great time on the trails! The trails are well maintained and easy to navigate. There are points of interest and a self-guided online tour as well. Saw some interesting wildlife!! :) There is an awesome beach at White Point!"
"Had a wonderful 4.6-mile hike. The trail is flat, easy, and wide, perfect for hiking, jogging, or strolling. There are plenty of cutoffs to go into the wooded area or mash land and get some breathtaking views. I saw tons of White Ibis, and what I think was a Crocodile (I didn't get close enough to see!). Just a word of caution, there are no restrooms or water, so be prepared and come with lots of water, sunscreen, and a hat!. Well worth the drive and visit. Plus it's free and educational."
