"So I’m submitting this review without having been to the wildlife center. There’s a number of things to get involved in doing on this land and my primary objective was to hike down to Savannah river via trail at end of Bluff View drive. With that being said, a very impressive main entrance and lane down to nature center…I’d say with a little more Spanish Moss, they definitely give Wormsloe in Savannah a run for the money!!! As mentioned previously, I came to check out the river trail but in doing so I rode around a number of the roads providing entry into the woodlands. A vast number of different ecosystems provides food and cover for a variety of woodland mammals, birds and reptiles. I’m not making any claims about hunting as I am unsure of the procedure or policies on state managed preserves/land. But I will tell you there is acres of land that are managed very well and there is little to no evidence of clear cuts or introduction of certain species of fauna. Even if you never get out of your vehicle, you can ride around for hours on the maze of roads provided within the property just as long as gates are open. Don’t forget to check in at kiosk when you pull down lane. There is a peaceful deck overlooking a bog at the end of Bluff View road that you can enjoy the serenity of silence and fish surfacing."
