"Perfect kayak or canoe launch. Short walk down to the creek, ample parking, and water so slow you can put in and take out at the same spot. All shaded and not hard to navigate. You’ll see gar, cypress, tupelo, snakes, and spiders The perfect single-car kayak trip."
"Congaree National Park is our favorite place to bring visitors to the area and we usually book a canoe tour with Andy at Palmetto Outdoors. No matter how many times you visit, the floodplain forest is ever evolving, with something new to explore. If river levels permit, make sure to ask to be taken to the secret “Tupelo Basin”, which winds into a secret cavern of trees."
"One of my favorite places. Always see plenty of wildlife. Kayaked this many times over the years, it never disappoints. Snakes wer in great abundance on new years day"
"We didn't go kayaking, the water level was too low. The launch is not far from the parking lot. It can be very muddy."
"First time paddling here, loved it. Water level 3.1, was a very slight current and easy to navigate for the 1.4 miles I went SE (downstream), saw only 4 other boats in 2 hours. Lovely scenery, lots of cypress, good shade, fair number of no-shoulder nonvenomous reptiles sunning. Like a step back in time."
