"Very nice campground and plantation far from it all. It's a pretty drive out there, but no stores close. We went for the Battle of Broxton Bridge reenactment."
"I absolutely love this campground! We are here while my husband works in a neighboring town. There's so much history here, the spots are nice, and it's quiet. Definitely a must if you are staying in this area of South Carolina"
"Nice stop over with horses if you were traveling and needed to stop for the night. We camped for a week with horses. Trails were descent, but there were many trails along large areas that they are removing all the trees, very sad. Weekends they have many skeet shooting events happening. There were a few pretty areas intermittently along the trails. The group I was with seemed to enjoy the place more than I did. Dogs an run free, plenty of manure buckets available and they picked up the manure buckets and emptied them for you!!!"
"Beautiful piece of land, beautifully maintained. They host a civil war reenactment every spring, on the original breastworks from the war. Do yourself a favor and come see it, it's an exceptional show. We go riding throughout the week before, and it seems there's always something new to see. Truly stunning views and natural scenery. Anyone we've ever dealt with have always been knowledgeable and more than willing to help in any way they can."
"We came here to watch the Battle for Broxton Bridge reenactment. The grounds are well kept and it looks like the trails would be fun to walk/ride. The reenactment itself was a little disappointing, having been to others. There really should be a handout out narrator to inform spectators of what they're seeing. Without that knowledge, it's just a bunch of guys "shooting" at each other and cannons firing often enough to give you a headache. On a positive note, the reenactors are friendly and take the time to talk to attendees as they walk through the Camps."
