"This is a well-maintained area. It was a cloudy day, so we didn't catch any fish, but we spotted a beautiful deer near the water. As we were arriving, about a dozen geese were wadding in the water. Worth checking out."

"Only thing that I've caught there is tiny brim, Nothing worth keeping. Tree's hang down to snag your cast almost every time. Honestly not worth the time you'll invest going. It has potential, if it wasn't for ignorant teenagers or unsupervised children that destroy the area with cutting offensive words into the wooden docks and trash left behind. It's a shame that today's youth have no sence of pride or respect for anything."

"In different stages of repair. Parking lot is broken up asphalt, more gravel now. Some landscaping being worked on near the shore. Pier platforms are aluminium with benches and functional. People leave trash though. Still quiet and nice river views. Bluegill mostly. The power substation makes a noisy and rhythmic clanging sound."

"Easy access with great fishing, you can launch a canoe from both upper and lower areas of the dam."

"Lockhart power did a really good job making what was once a parking lot a great place for family fun. Now if they could take over the amphitheater."
