SJWD Water District 307 Spartanburg Highway, Wellford, SC 29385

"My bill arrived on Friday and due on monday and was much higher than normal. So I called. They admit to a billing glitch but they are trying to say on certain days and certain hours last month I used over 200 gal. My usage usually about 1800 gals a month. They say I used over 5000 gals last month. NO WAY. My bill this month is going to be normal. They claim there isn't a problem"

"FYi, My water was cut off do to the fault of my own. However, I paid before the business opened for the day. To my understanding from speaking rwith Jamie the manager, their report was ran approximately 7:45 am before they open. I paid before they open at 8 am within approximately a ten minute difference, and my water was still disconnected. So if you pay like that you will still incur reconnect fees of which she can't take off to her discretion. Just something to keep in mind for those that are SJWD water customers. Signed M.F."

"Only 1 star because it want let you do 0. SJWD has failed on several different accidents. I have reported over the years fish kills in the Middle Tyger River with no response, discoloration, strong chemical smells. The latest discoloration they are telling you it's OK to drink, but ruins colthes. My sons karate uniform was ruined to no recovery, and SJWD refuses to take responsibility. I was told they would not pay for the uniform due to some people would take advantage of this for a financial gain. Are you kidding me I don't think anyone is going to financially gain from 85.00 just seems like an excuse to me. This was without a doubt a fail on the behalf of SJWD not clearly identifying the issue and notifying others in a timely manner.  I have lived several places with different water districts but by far SJWD has been the worse. Over the years I have reported several different issues and you all have failed to take responsibility for any hardships you have caused. Sad as a home owner there are no options to switch like phone service or internet service when the services you are receiving are crappy. If there was I would drop you like a brick. I hope you feel good as a company knowing your reputation is tarnished by disappointing customers that are paying for a service that is continuously awful."

"I've personally always had great service, the fees are extremely cheap and my water has always been fine, I don't understand why other people has had such issues but I believe there's other variables."

"I just moved in two weeks ago and got my first bill. 23 thousand gallons of water seams a bit excessive for a small family of three. SJWD did nothing to help out with figuring out the problem besides blaming me for running irrigation which I didn't do since its been raining. I'm not accusing anyone but I did notice that my neighbors who have not moved in there water was running all day and night straight out of the outdoor faucet not even watering any grass since they don't even have there Sod installed. It was raining that day and I also seen the SJWD work truck drive by earlier that day. Shady business SJWD!!!!!!"
