Econo Lodge Downtown

"Nothing fancy, just a good place to sleep if you are having to go to the hospitals downtown. Great location, easily walkable to all 3 major hospitals. Parking is a little tight, but always a space available so far."

"Great location, rooms not so. I spilled water on the floor in the room. I cleaned it up with a towel provided. The towel was black and brown because of the dark floor not being mopped. who knows how long. Not the greatest of service"

"I am a Choice Hotel employee and booked my room with the employee discount. I was not able to make it to Augusta tonight for my reservation and didn't think to call and cancel my reservation. Well 10:30pm tonight I received a call from the hotel. The guy asked if I was still coming tonight or did I need to cancel. I explained to him why I had to cancel. This person had the audacity to say, "Oh you seen I'm a bald headed black man and decided not to stay here?" I asked my husband, "Did you hear what this mf just said?" My husband said he did because I had it on speaker the whole conversation. Then the guy does a weird laugh and I hang up. Now I said at the beginning that I'm an employee of Choice Hotel because I know working the front desk you see that it says I'm an employee and this is why I got the rate I got. I don't know what would make this man want to make a racist joke like he did. I am highly offended and I will be taking this higher up."

"AVOID THIS PLACE My mom stayed here and she was bitten by bed bugs, she was in room 120, so they changed her to room 122, still the same. Supposedly they do bed bug cleaning once a month, but I don't think they do, it is too much coincidence that I've been in two different rooms with the same problem. Now she is responsible for a hospital bill, for infected beg bugs."

"We stayed at the Econo Lodge Downtown for 3 nights while my grandson was in the hospital. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and had us checked in very quickly. The room was nice and had everything we needed, with the exception of a coffee pot. Don't despair. Coffee is available in the lobby when you want it. The one thing I missed was having my bed made while I'm out of the room and an ample supply of towels and washcloths. That seems to be the rule instead of the exception in hotels these days. The most important thing about the Econo Lodge Downtown is that it was close to the hospital, which made it very convenient for me to visit my grandson. If you aren't looking for all of the bells and whistles, need a place to stay at a moments notice, This is your place."
