"First published 09.08.23 I had car insurance with a major insurance company for 10 years and receiving the long time customer discount. 03.22.23 I decided to shop the price and CHW Insurance Group switched me to Progressive saving me money, I left CHW Insurance Group five star feedback. Five months later I received a renewal policy where the price went up 35%. 08.26.23 I emailed CHW Insurance Group to cancel auto-pay and policy, they said they could shop for another policy, I asked them to do that, they replied will contact me back. As of Thursday 09.07.23 they had not contacted me back. They advertise open 9am Monday through Friday. Thursday 09.07.23 I arrived at their office at 9:10am and closed sign on door, no lights on and did not see a person inside, I figured someone was a little late so I parked for 10 to 12 minutes, no change. I went to Food Lion (have receipt) then returned at 10:20 am and still not open. Have they gone out of business ? What I saved in the beginning has been lost due to losing my long term discount and the amount of time and money involved in dealing with CHW Insurance Group for a policy that only lasted 6 months. Update: Friday 09.08.23 CHW Insurance Group responded to my feedback stating "I have been here since 6:15 am", "we don't leave for lunch", "I am afraid you went to the wrong location" and "I apologize you went to the wrong location". My response: I wrote I was there Thursday 09.07.23 at 9:10am and 10:20am , not Friday 09.08.23 or during lunch hours. It is ridiculous and insulting to write I went to the wrong location, I was there when I started the policy."

"I have been charged $365 for my insurance for months(just me) not realizing this company knew for over a year my husband was added to my policy and never told me I was being overcharged. I called in February (7 months ago) and asked mike if I could find a cheaper policy bc 365 didn’t sound right. Mike called me back and said NO I couldn’t get anything cheaper. While also not mentioning my husband was on the policy. Fast forward 6 months and I called to try again and that’s when I learned my husband was unnecessarily on my insurance for well over a year. This was NEVER mentioned to me prior. (I’ve been with them for well over 5 years so they had to have seen it on my policy when it was added in 2022) I tried to call them and get it resolved.. sent in necessary paperwork to get him off of my policy and ONCE AGAIN I was just charged $365. (This is for one person). This company didn’t follow up with me or care to help. Save your breath."
