El Jimador Mexican Restaurant

"Ok so was so excited to go here, the food was amazing we order some drinks the waitress never told us they did not have them we ask about them she shows me her phone to say they don't have them my friend went to the bar to get something different they would not wait on her she comes back to the table sits down a man asked what we needed and we proceed to tell him and he says o we have those. So a few mins go by we finally get them. She gives me the check don't take the payment like all the others tables do we now have to walk to the front to pay our tab. Other then all this the food was amazing."

"Ordered 3 quesadillas (options selected was shredded beef), received 3 quesadillas with ground beef…! Is this Taco Bell! I though it was an authentic Mexican restaurant! Could not take back as I was already half way to my destination. Disappointed."

"El Jimador is unique in that they offer cuisine that is not like every other Mexican restaurant in the surrounding area. We came here on a Thursday night and service was awful. I think between the 3 of us, we each had to get up about twice to get the server’s attention. Despite the awesome menu, the food was not anything to write home about. My chicken was bland and I asked for no peppers but I got peppers anyway. The esquite was just canned corn with a dollop of mayonnaise. I think if they revamped their customer service and honed in on some of the meals they do offer, this would be an absolute force in the culinary world. Until then, I will pass."

"El Jimador is a staple to Clemson and the surrounding area. Very nice atmosphere inside, super chill to have a drink after work or enjoy a nice first date with. Lovely patio area if the weather is right. Always a lowkey place to enjoy food and drink. Not very nice in any specific standard but overall good quality in general. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly. Very typical style Mexican restaurant that’s been around for quite some time, but nothing particularly special about the restaurant or food quality."

"We were seated immediately. The manager Rafael was helpful with our questions. Our server Federico was very attentive. To our surprise, the food came out very quickly and it was very flavorful! Would highly recommend! Will be coming back when in town again."
