"Who doesn't like dolphins? We took a private cruise with Captain Mark to discover a few in their natural habitat. We departed from Cross Island Boat Landing under the Coligny Beach Bridge and cruised down Broad Creek towards Daufuskie Island. The weather was warm and the waters calm, providing a great day for a boat ride. Captain Mark is a hospitable host. The boat for our private tour comfortably held the five adults and two children on board. I appreciated the fact that we weren't on a big boat with a lot of strangers. The small boat provided an intimate experience, and Captain Mark made it feel like we were riding on a friend's boat as he talked to us about dolphins and the ecosystem of Broad Creek. But Captain Mark didn't just talk to us; he invited us in on the conversation. He welcomed questions, and I was particularly impressed with the manner in which he thoroughly answered all my grandson's many questions and commended him for his inquisitiveness. We were able to discover several dolphins on our cruise and Captain Mark taught us much about the lives they live. But there was nothing stuffy or rehearsed about his talk, as if he were presenting a lecture. Instead, it really did seem like we were on a boat with a friend who happened to know a lot about dolphins and nature. The dolphins were charming, because that's just how dolphins are. They moved in the water with grace and a few deliberately approached our boat close enough to make eye contact. The adults and children alike were delighted with each encounter. So, if you like dolphins (and I know you do) go ahead and book a dolphin cruise with Captain Mark. He and the dolphins are ready to welcome you!"
