"The good - our condo was ready two hours early. The bad - we spent those two hours cleaning. The unit smelled liked mold and mildew the minute you walked in. A gallon of bleach and a bottle of mildew remover later it was livable….there was black mold all over the vents on all three a/c units. We took those apart to clean and saw the coils/fins/filters were wholly covered with enough lint and dirt to render air circulation extremely inefficient, much less putting said dirt in the air. You can tell preventative maintenance is NEVER done. Walls are more than scuffed. Remotes don’t have working batteries. Sinks are clogged. We called we were told the maintenance man was off sick. No backup maintenance for a company who manages so many units?!! The unit floors were filthy too. Sock bottoms were black within 5 minutes. No way I was walking barefoot. The management company advised they don’t clean items the owner provides, so enjoy the bathroom rugs full of hair or the bed quilt with blood stains- they aren’t washed between guests. Only sheets and towels are switched out. Living room furniture and rug was filthy, as well. Do you need extra bedding, it’s on the dirty floor in the closet. Maybe use a dresser drawer to store extra linens. I called Vacation Time and they did send someone to re-clean but it should have been right in the first place. It was vacant prior to our arrival. Their response was “it should be better this time of year”. So at peak time it’s ok to be dirty?! We love Ocean Dunes but this unit needs some help. LVP floor is coming up in places, especially in the kitchen. Most of the wood furniture is veneer and it’s peeling. Patio furniture is rusted. The living room furniture needs to be cleaned or replaced. I think at one time the sofa was beige. Not sure if the owner is aware, but Vacation Time needs to let them know the current condition of this unit. If their motto is churn, turn and earn, fine. But we won’t be back."

"We rented OCEAN DUNES VILLA 114 from 9/1/ - 9/4/2023 and would not recommend anyone renting this unit unless they want to spend their vacation is a very dirty/unclean condo. The bathroom was extremely dirty with mold, mildew, dirt, and rust throughout. The drain in the bathtub/shower is rusted out and the water rose above my ankles when taking a shower. The balcony was very dirty and had not been swept or cleaned in quite some time. The ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom were caked with dust on the fan itself as well as the blades. The condo is full of numerous DIY projects that were poorly done. There is exposed sheetrock, gaps between countertop and cabinets, holes in the wall and ceiling."

"We stayed in Xanadu. B12 for 4 nights in February. The condo is comfortable, tastefully furnished with everything you might need to cook and play at the beach. Its floors have recently been replaced and walls have been repainted. Its a quick easy walk to the beach and though it was February andthe pool is closed; I have been there when it was open and loved it. Bike rentals are available nearby and Hiltonhead Island is a great place to bike with numerous bike trails. I recommend Xanadu B12 highly!"
