"We were greeted with a awful smell and turned the air on hoping that would help. Then I thought I could get past the hair that was left on the bed but it went downhill from there. We had to go get towels the first night. There was only one set. They were renovating which alone wasn’t a problem- the fact that they worked all night was the problem!!! When we were able to fall asleep, the noise woke us up. Let me be clear— no where on their site OR Priceline’s site did it state they were renovating. WHO RENOVATES A HOTEL AT NIGHT? The bedsheets did not stay on the mattress corners and the mattress slid across the steel frame anytime you sat and got up Saturday morning: breakfast should be advertised as a “snack” and there was no coffee!! We were told there had been no coffee for 3 days. We went to the front desk to inquire and was told we could pay for it in the snack area. I said I already paid enough for the room. She finally told us to fix a K-cup. We decided to check out and were not going to leave a review until things took yet, another turn for the worse. They wouldn’t check us out saying, “the room can not canceled.” We called Priceline who said it could be canceled but the manager had to approve it. They were told she would not be in until Monday. I went back in and asked to speak to the manager. (Her car was in the mgr spot) and was told she JUST Got THERE and “probably would not come out to speak to me. The clerk spoke with her and then told me she wouldn’t approve a refund and wouldn’t come out. So I asked for franchise number. Upon calling them I was told Price could issue a refund. When I didn’t want to take her up on a $100 off my next trip- SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! Next I called customer service. Very pleasant but couldn’t do much. She said the manager had to approve it. We filed a complaint. We were visiting Evans, GA for an event at 8:00pm. We drove all the way home afterward. On Monday, I received a voicemail from a gentleman say “I’m sure if you looked at the website, it clearly stated renovations were going on.” Mr. , you completely missed the point. Here were the issues: —Workers hammering, moving and bamming ALL NIGHT —no coffee and terrible breakfast —I explained to the clerk that my daughter had to get home asap and we were not staying Saturday night. She said we couldn’t check out because the room could not be canceled. ——NOT TRUE! The third party I booked with approved the cancellation and said it was up to the property to refund the amount. —refusal by manager to discuss my request —Refusal to check me out of the hotel —Refusal to refund the night I did not stay there. You could have resolved this whole issue and chose not to. Management, you had in your power to accommodate your guests and chose not to. After reading the reviews here, it’s not looking good at all for you. You should consider closing so renovations can be done day and night and employees can receive much needed customer service training. This reflects poorly on Wyndham and Augusta. I will not be visiting either one again."
"Where do I begin ? When we got to the hotel, my husband and I found out that they were doing renovations, nowhere online does it mention that. Also we called to say we were checking in later and still weren’t informed that the hotel was going through renovations. Okay so when we check in, the man at the desk was nice, we asked if we could get a receipt and he said “yeah, you guys can get it now or before you check out” (this comes into play later) Okay so we get to our room and it was hot and muggy, the toilet was chipping and the shower looked gross, especially the bathtub, I didn’t even want to take a shower in it. We didn’t think to complain because we were only staying for a night. Okay so the “hot breakfast “ that is offered was mediocre. We got there and there was barely any food, by the food station there was a list of rules. Rule #4 really got me “please tip server, if you have had good service” except we didn’t have no server, like what ?!? Then you couldn’t take anything from the dining area or you would have to pay for a to go fee, and you weren’t allowed to take it back to your room. They didn’t have coffee, one of the staff members came in and apologized for there not being coffee, she said she ordered some but it never came in. Then the juice machine was broken so that was great. When it was time for check out we asked the lady up front for a receipt and she said she can’t give us one but we can get one through Expedia. We informed her that we needed a paper copy because my husband is a military and had to turn it in to get reimbursed. Then this lady turns around and says “well I’m not supposed to do this but im gonna do this for you because my son is in the military.” Seriously gave us a hard time for a damn receipt when the guy the night before said we could get one either then or a the check out time. I was hoping all the reviews online were exaggerated because the hotel looked beautiful online but the devil is a lie."
"First off we were given the wrong room with somebody already in the room. Second off once that was handled we got to our new room at 321 and nothing worked including the refrigerator blow dryer and the entire AC system. Had the maintenance man replace the refrigerator and he threw away all of our food in the fridge. Stayed here for 2 days and after sleeping in the bed I got a severe case of bed bug bites all over my body! I do not recommend ever staying here! Very unhealthy and awful!"
"This Hotel used to be nice but it’s gone from nice to disgusting. We have had to switch rooms 4 times tonight only go from bad to bad to not so good. Roaches came first thing in the first 2 rooms on the 3rd floor with a Cheeto chip on the floor and sticky stuff on the bathroom sink. Hallway floors have like paint and stains dried in the whole hallway. We were moved to the second floor and what do know!! More roaches so we were then given a room on the 5th floor and the curtains wouldn’t close so we switched rooms again to find one the beds in this double has stains all over it. To top that off we had made a reservation for a King only to find someone actually booked us for the double instead. And they will not give us a refund so now we have to just stay for tonight."
"I stayed overnight. Check in was easy and quick. Room was clean, no smell, bed was comfortable, clean towels and sheets. Room had a microwave and fridge. Ac and heat worked just fine. I gave 3 stars because it was a $150 deposit and the hotel is not worth that much especially when I saw a roach on the wall. Other than the bug everything else was fine."
