"Stay away from this company. They told us we'd be able to travel all over the place, more than we could with our other resort. NO! We were unable to book anything at all. Then they lure us back, supposedly to tell us how to use our points, we go, and their story is that what they sold us the first time isn't enough to travel with, we'd need to purchase a higher level. We stupidly did because we felt stuck at that point. STILL could not travel like they said, it took all of our points for one 2 unit place. Ridiculous. Also, their chat feature never works. I can imagine why. Everybody is asking why they got ripped off. I don't even want to go back to the resorts in South Carolina because they are the ones that allowed this to be foisted on the guests. I am sick about this. We don't have money to waste, and now we've wasted it, anyway, at the cost of necessities. Do NOT fall for this place. NONE of it is true. They sit there and tell you things that ARE NOT TRUE. Now I see I got a response where they want me to email them privately so they can 'discuss this with you in person'. We went all the way back to South Carolina to try and understand and get help and guess what? All they told us was that the reason our purchase with them was useless was because we didn't buy at a high enough level. Then we felt pressured to spend MORE. I understand how stupid that sounds on our part, but we'd already sunk so much that having something useless is not a great thing. Told them at that time that it was horrible and that you can never get any help by their live chat. They acted all shocked. It's not up? Oh, my. Let us check. It's normally running. Really? Because in over a year I've not been able to get live chat even ONE TIME. It's always, leave a message. I truly hate this timeshare idea. The resorts in South Carolina were very nice. They told us they were not associated with Palmera when we did the fateful talk with them. Well, then why are their places the ones you can use Palmera with on a yearly basis? Go to the resorts if you want. They're gorgeous. Do NOT get sucked into this horrific timeshare. It's an endless pull on your money. EVERY MONTH there are fees in addition to the fortune they charge you in the beginning. DO NOT get sucked in."
