"My family and I just stayed at 830 Ocean Cove this past week and had a terrible experience. We booked from a Saturday to Saturday & ended up having to leave early due to the black mold exposure. Each one of us was experiencing symptoms (cough, runny nose, headaches, etc). As you can tell from this picture, the black mold is in the air vents going throughout the whole Villa. We noticed the mold early on & immediately contacted IslandGetaway via email & never got a response back. We then called customer service, spoke with Jen & she mentioned we sent it to the wrong email address & send it to her, again no response. Finally, we called again & Jen mentioned she still never received the emails after we verified the correct email address & to resend them again so she can review then give us a call back…we never got that call back. At this point, I feel we are being ignored since we have already left, so I am writing this to warn all the others that 830 Ocean Cove is full of mold & I do NOT recommend staying here."

"It's as simple as this: if you plan to book a house or villa or condominium for your vacation on Hilton Head Island, you should use Island Getaway Rentals. For one thing, it's a local company on the island. They know the island inside and out; this is MUCH BETTER than using a company that is not based on the island, as I bitterly learned in a 2017 booking experience on Hilton Head with another company. I've found that the staff members at Island Getaways are knowledgeable, helpful, informative, and very friendly and personable. Beyond that, when I had a serious issue with that other rental company on the island (which turned out to be based in Florida), I went to the Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce office for advice. The Chamber of Commerce representative *recommended* Island Getaway as a reputable and reliable company. That did it for me, and she was right -- Island Getaway has been top notch in every way in which we have dealt with them. I particularly like their thorough communications in the booking process, and their quick reply to emails and inquiries, usually within a couple of hours or the same day. And once booked, they provide you with a "Hospitality" smartphone app that guides you through every step of the process from check-in to check-out, gives recommendations for numerous things to do and places to eat, and even offers discounts at some area businesses via the app (e.g., we got 10% off on our meal at Marley's Island Grille just by showing the server our Island Getaways Hospitality app). We have booked through Island Getaway five times at three different locations: a villa for two just 150 yards from the beach, a 4-bedroom ranch-style house, and a family vacation for a party of 10 in a big house that sleeps up to 16. All are excellent properties that are clean, well maintained, and memorable. So in my opinion, Island Getaway has the right accommodations for you whether you are single, a couple, a large family, or even a business trip (such as a retreat) for a company or office with a number of employees. I'm attaching a couple of photos taken at two of the locations we've rented via Island Getaway. We will always use Island Getaway to book our accommodations whenever we return to Hilton Head Island."
