"So I spent a lot of time debating how to approach this… my vehicle arrived to Charleston in rough shape from shipping it back from overseas. Idling rough and not building fuel pressure. The crew at the shop figured out it was injectors, as we all know diesel injectors are expensive. He got the price for a budget set down to around $3k with install. I had to wait some time and the crew was patient with me, we pulled the trigger to get it done, and I arrived to pick it up with a $5k price shock. Without calling me or updating me they went through the fuel tank and replaced everything there too. I definitely wasn’t happy with that, as an added $2 k was out of my budget and put me in a rough spot for a bit. But I got the truck back and was glad it was running. As I’ve had it home and more time to go over it, I’m still getting a misfire on cylinder 6, and it’s running and idling very rough. Boost isn’t hitting as good as it should be. Seems to be topping out at around 25 lbs with a tune, whereas prior to all the needing repairs it was having no issue hit 35-40 lbs at WOT. Going through the engine bay I found odds and ends that weren’t reinstalled properly. My oil dipstick tube was broken and had a bolt screwed into it, the MAF sensor wasn’t connected and the boost tube boots were loose. My truck is by no means a nice truck, so I’m not knocking them for all the work that I chose to leave off the menu. But the stuff they touched and worked on was a disappointment, especially for $5000 worth. Knowing what I know now, I would’ve opted to tow it out of there and just done it locally to me. I can’t endorse this shop."
