"It's open to the public where you walk along a path and see old building replicas. They are all locked (maybe because it wasn't an event day) and some buildings were boarded up entirely, which is sad. But it was a nice little outing and the grounds are pretty. It's not a huge park, so if you want just a little nature walk and not spend more than an hour, this is a nice option."
"This park is amazing! I will just take artists in the community here to get inspired! I've not been to the events they host but it's kind of hidden away and seems very unique! It's always kept in good shape too, so I don't know who does the upkeep, but great work! Thank you!"
"I visited early in the morning and it was very peaceful. The grounds are well-maintained, and they utilized the space very effectively. I can see how this is very informative and educational, especially for the children. It's a great place to step back in time for a few minutes, or just to go and relax."
"The park is clean and picturesque. Lots of old buildings and history, but all boarded up. You cannot access the inside of any of them it’s just the view of the exterior. The walking trail is not stroller or handicap friendly, lots of stairs. Cannot pull into the park at all with vehicle. No on site parking. There is a run down playground with parking in front of the park."
"This was our first time going to the Living History Park and it was incredible to say the least. The park is definitely a hidden gem in the area, hidden by trees and shrubs you all most miss it if you are not looking for it. I have been to other parks such as this one in Virginia and it's a must see. All the participants are great and you can tell they love what they do. Our favorites were the blacksmith and the mill. 10/10 would highly recommend."
